Stelle di Monte

Found this one on a YouTube travel video - it didn’t let us down. Arrived to Nathalie and Igor showing us the most spectacular view of our trip (seriously, we drove the panorama road to Montalcino and no view along there compared to the one from Stelle Di Monte) and pouring us a glass of wine. The room was sensational as was the entire property. Very walkable into the town (although beware it’s a hilltop town, so you’ll walk up a bit). Breakfast every morning was sensational, and looking down into the patchwork Tuscan valley up to the town of Montepulciano was honestly something out of a dream. If you stay here you definitely need to do the dinner by Igor. Absolutely worth it. 11/10 recommend. It won’t be the cheapest place on your trip, but we looked at it as the place to splash out. We did not regret that decision.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had a perfect experience. The view is so breathtaking I still struggle to comprehend it! The location is perfect for a walk/hike into Montepulciano. The room was gorgeous and well appointed. Breakfast was included and impressive every morning. We enjoyed our time in the hot tub grotto and recommend doing a dinner with Chef Igor if you get the opportunity. It is rare that I want to return to a place I've already been, because I tend to think there is always something better out there. But I would return to Stella di Monte in a heartbeat. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better accommodation in the area. With only a handful of rooms it is really such an intimate experience.

My husband and I stayed at Stelle Di Monte this May during our trip to Italy to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had considered several other accommodations in Tuscany but chose Stelle Di Monte based on its romantic setting and proximity to Montepulciano. It exceeded all expectations. Nathalie was amazing with communicating in advance of our stay - everything from confirming allergies/food preferences, assisting with recommendations and reservations for nearby wine tastings (we loved Innocenti!) and dinners, and providing directions. She and Igor greeted us upon arrival with a tour of the property and a glass of wine from their cellar. Their property is stunning. They redesigned and constructed with impeccable taste and comfort. We booked the Il Pagliaio suite - spacious, spotless, and unique - rustic charm but the most modern amenities (including a luxurious shower). We were unable to truly enjoy all the lovely seating areas on the property to relax and enjoy the Tuscan view due to rain/gloomy weather - and decided we will have to return to try again! Breakfast is fresh and delicious. We did also opt for the dinner provided by Chef owner Igor - everything was beautiful. Overall a bit of a splurge for us, but quiet, elegant, comfortable, and worth every penny.

We spent 3 nights at Stelle Di Monte in early June at the end of our 2 week trip and I can't think of a better way to end our trip. The owner's, Nathalie and Igor, were so welcoming and such great hosts. The rooms were luxurious, with big bathrooms and showers. I loved the modern finishes and conveniences while still having that old farmhouse charm.....and the views! The views were amazing. One night, we decided to get take out from a nearby restaurant and brought it back to Stelle Di Monte because you really couldn't beat the view from the little table outside our room! Also, they have an honor bar at the hot tub area with bottles of wine and beer should you need something. In the morning, it felt like I was waking up in a painting. The breakfast on the patio was delicious and, if you can, make sure you have dinner on property. There is not another restaurant in the area that takes your personal likes and dislikes into consideration like Igor does. Much of the ingredients that they use in their meals are sourced either from the property itself and the rest comes from local farms. We loved everything, but the rosemary biscuits were our favorite so I was thrilled to get an email from Nathalie a week after our stay with the recipe. This is truly a magical place and we are already dreaming of our return. Thank you, Nathalie and Igor!

This was our second stay at Stelle di Monte, and it felt like we had never left. Nathalie and Igor are incredibly kind and accommodating. From the moment you arrive, they welcome you as if you are old family friends. Their hospitality and attention to detail are second to none. There simply aren’t enough words to express how highly we think of them and the way they run their business. That’s without even mentioning the exceptional beauty of the property, the thoughtfully designed rooms, or the unforgettable gastronomic experience. Stelle di Monte will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will be back again, returning home to visit our dear friends.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at this beautiful and charming B&B. It is perfectly perched on a hill overlooking the village of Montepulciano. The views of the valley, village, and the surrounding gardens were breathtaking. This was such a peaceful and calming experience. The hosts were very engaging and friendly. We loved our gourmet breakfast each morning and had the opportunity to experience an amazing dinner one evening. Igor is an excellent chef and we loved the commentary. Hearing and reading about the transformation of this lovely villa was fascinating. Nathalie and Igor's hard work created a place that is really unlike any other place in the area. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!
