La Terrazza di Montepulciano

Spent 5 days in beautiful Montepulciano hosted by hotel owner Roberto. He was lively, enthusiastic and helpful in showcasing this beautiful town. Room was comfortable and perfectly located, though prepare for lots of up and down hiking. The local wineries were ideal for wine tasting, purchasing and shipping. Recommend Montepulciano and Roberto’s hotel for your stay.

The best location in Montepulciano. Close to everything and Roberto, your host will not disappoint you. Closest hotel to the square. Free Parking in town. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Quaint hotel. You'll love the history of this hotel.

Perfect location and a very personal service. Roberto is an artist of hospitality! The hotel has several entrances. After you check-in, you can use both the upper entrance (good for the main upper square and cathedral) and the lower one (the main street going down to the town entrance). Several good eating places are around. The owner of La Terrazza, Roberto, recommended Il Teatro Cucina Toscana, and it was excellent!

Definitely recommend this place! I have never felt so welcomed at a place before. I was worried about parking in Montepulciano, and someone mentioned parking wasn’t an issue with this hotel, so I booked La Terrazza for that reason. We loved our stay here! I called Roberto, the host and owner, just before we arrived and he told me exactly where to meet him (Parking lot #6). He spoke better English than we spoke Italian, that’s for sure. Once I arrived, he took us to another level of this parking area where only permitted cars can park, and as one of his guests, we were allowed to park here. We then climbed into his car with our luggage, and he took us to the hotel and checked us in. Inside the town, the streets are extremely narrow and there’s hardly room for people to walk, so I would never have wanted to drive inside the town! The hotel is between two streets, the upper and the lower level street. The parking lot is closer to the lower street. We stayed here for 3 nights on the top level of the hotel, which had a bedroom, a sitting room, and also a shared outdoor terrace patio. Internet in our room was good - 42.8 Mbps down / 11 Mbps up when I ran Speedtest. There is a downstairs area, with a small reception area and breakfast room. Breakfast was included, and here we met Victoria, his lovely wife. We had espresso, fruit drinks, yogurt, croissants, salami and cheese, and some other baked goods every morning. They have two long haired chihuahuas, Rambo and Quattro, who we met. Roberto and Victoria made us feel so welcome. Every morning, we would have a conversation with Roberto, and he would give us advice on where to go for lunch and dinner. Simply a wonderful experience!

Stayed here for 5 days while we explored the nearby small towns and vineyards of Tuscany. A bit if a challenge to find, but the perfect location once you do. Roberto and his wife Vittoria, are the owners and hosts - they are wonderful! I e never met a more extroverted man than Roberto, his joy and passion for helping travelers is amazing. Every morning at breakfast he will provide expert tips to make your travels easier. The rooms was more spacious than other places in Italy. It was a bit dated, but clean, comfy and safe. The breakfasts were ample, and served to you by Vittoria (the powerhouse of the two) and Roberto. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Siamo stati un weekend in occasione dei mercatini di Natale. Posizione strategica, al centro del paese. Camere pulite e molto carine, cortesia e accoglienza sono di casa. Ottima la colazione, posto auto al coperto. La signora Vittoria è di una gentilezza infinita. Il signor Roberto è il TOP, una macchina da guerra, pieno di consigli e di una disponibilità e simpatia infinita. Grazie.
