Agriturismo le Castellare

We had the most wonderful stay at Le Castellare. Nadia & her family are so welcoming. We can only encourage you to stay here, the accommodation is charming, the views are stunning, the surrounding area is full of breathtaking natural beauty. Breakfast is delicious & all home produced by the family. We knew there are wild orchids in the area & with Nadia’s help we found new varieties to add to our list. The wildflower meadows stretch for miles…..absolutely stunning. This area is full of unspoilt charm. It was difficult to leave such a beautiful place but we will return to explore next year & with Nadia’s help we will discover more amazing places in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains. My husband, my three boys 12, 17 + 20 and I where hosted by Nadia at an apartment at Le Castellare for two nights. This is a magical part of the world and out trip. Nadia and her parents are delightful and impressive people. The walks directly from the house are spectacular, bursting with wild flowers and magnificent mountains filled with stories. Nadia guided us on one hike sharing stories and details of the mountains and their flora. The home made sausages and cakes she and her parents made where a wonderful nourishing treat for us all at the end of our travels through Italy. The local restaurants where delicious that along with the small towns felt like true Italy without tourist. We will be back.

As an American having his first experience at an Italian agriturismo, I wasn’t sure what I would encounter. I had high expectations — I was going to be in the mountains, I was expecting the experience to be peaceful (that’s what all the online articles said), and inspiring (that’s what I hoped). Nadia and her family at Le Castellare exceeded my expectations. The room was impeccably clean, communication with Nadia and her family (my hosts) was easy. The grounds were peaceful, and perfect for an afternoon aperitif or a sunset walk. Additionally, Nadia was able to direct me to all the sites, recommend precautions (they are mountains after all), and even guided those of us staying on the property to the local gorge. Le Castellare is well-positioned geographically as well: Mount Sibylla and The Gorges of Hell (Golle dell’Infernaccio) are close-by. It’s close to local towns. From its vantage point, a traveler can see half a dozen mountain villages, an inspiring view of Le Marche. Still, Le Castellare’s greatest value is the warmth a traveler feels calling this place home for a time.

In the heart of the Monti Sibillini you’ll find this lovely house, where I returned in March after a 1st visit in 2014 and a short passage in 2017. I highly recommend this place for its location, the beautiful nature, the accommodation and mist of all the kindest family who owns this Agriturismo. So if you want to spend time in an unspoiled area, love nature and hiking... go there, you will love it!

Quando la Passione supera ogni cosa. Siamo state, io e la mia amica Nico, il week end del 25 aprile in questo fantastico agriturismo ai piedi, ma anche più in su, del Monte Sibilla. Al di là della location che è spettacolare, con il Sibilla ricoperto di neve, abbiamo incontrato una ragazza, Nadia, la proprietaria. Nadia insieme alla mamma e al babbo, si è rimboccata le maniche e mossa da una passione palpabile, ha reinventato la sua vita, dopo la tragedia del terreno del 2016. Solo un grande amore per la propria terra, come quello di Nadia, e che trasmette ai suoi ospiti con racconti, lacrime, consigli (è anche guida escursionistica) e cibo (colazione spettacolare con tutto fatto in casa) vale il viaggio! Siamo stati ospiti di questo agriturismo delizioso per Pasqua, tre notti. E’ strategico per chi adora camminare tanto, infatti è a pochi metri dal grande anello dei Sibillini. Ma anche per chi ama la tranquillità va benissimo. Noi eravamo con il nostro bimbo di 5 anni e Nadia e la sua famiglia ci hanno fatto vedere gli animali (oche, galline, gatti, conigli..) con infinita disponibilità. Colazioni ricchissime e servite con cura, Nadia è gentile e si ferma volentieri a dialogare dando valore al tempo passato coi suoi ospiti. Bella tutta la zona, gente ospitale nonostante il terremoto abbia lasciato segni. Consigliato vivamente, brava Nadia!
