Terme Preistoriche Resort & Spa

My boyfriend and I stayed here in December 2024 just before Christmas and we had an AMAZING time. We were hugely impressed by the hotel itself, which is beautifully decorated, and situated in lovely parkland, and our room, which was spacious and comfortable. The staff of the hotel were all lovely and welcoming. The two swimming pools of the hotel were wonderful, and we enjoyed using the various hydromassage features positioned around the pools. We made the most of the discount offer for massages and we booked four massages each, all of which were carried out with care and professionalism. I’d like to thank Martina in particular for this. We also enjoyed going to the daily aquagym sessions led by Federica as they were great, strenuous workouts. Thank you Federica! Importantly, one thing that really struck me was that the entire hotel, from the pool areas to the bedrooms, was spotlessly clean, so I’d also like to thank the cleaning staff for that. I would highly recommend Terme Preistoriche to anyone looking for an upmarket and memorable spa holiday and I can’t wait to go back.

We have been going to Terme Preistoriche for many years as it is a very special place. They have made a lot of changes since our last visit so I'd like to share the positive as well as the negative. The Positives: 1) The changing areas are much more tidy in the past; 2) The indoor lounge area has better lighting; 3) They're truly making an effort to improve the restaurant food. The Negatives: 1) The biggest disappointment is that they no longer allow access to the dry sauna for everyone who's booked a ticket for the pool. They now charge for the sauna as you're forced to pay separately for their "Black Spa" package. We didn't like that and were not interested in the Black Spa...we only wanted the sauna, and it was not available as an add-on to the pool/dinner package we purchased. 2) The music they played in the restaurant reminds me very much of dentist or elevator music. It was an playlist of endless covers of famous hit songs, but the covers were far worst than the originals. Since it was the evening and the clientele was more "hip"", it would have been much better to play soulful house music or even ambient lounge music rather than these sub-par cover songs. I think if Terme Preistoriche made a true effort to address the negative experiences listed above, they could be a 5-star experience.

Very nice experience. It’s three different experiences. There are the very nice lodges off the main hotel, which is a very very nice time. Then there are the regular budget hotel rooms. Then just day passes to the pools. The lodges have their own amenities such as aa jacuzzi or sauna or steam room based on which you choose. They also include a bracelet that gives you access to the Nero spa at any time for free. The regular hotel does not come with this. This was a nice surprise and a highlight of the trip. It is a very nice and beautiful spa. The pools are great. Not crowded at all. The pool bar makes a great coffee and snacks. It caters to guests and day visitors. I found the hotel restaurant to be lacking and much preferred walking ten minutes into town for food. I preferred breakfast at the pool bar over the hotel breakfast. The German tourists were big fans of the buffet and beelined for it right in the beginning of dinner.i saw the British, Italians, and other Americans found it off putting that dishes were not refilled after being devoured in the first five minutes and individual orders weren’t really taken in order of when they were sat down, but rather in proximity of the kitchen order. I waited about thirty minutes to put my order in even tho I didn’t really touch the buffet. For those of us who just wanted a quick easy and tasty dinner, it was not that. I did not try the pool restaurant for dinner, it likely would have been a more pleasant experience. Both “mama” restaurants in town were good. Everyone was very nice. The reception staff especially. There’s typical language barriers and things aren’t explained very clearly as in amenities and parking spots and where to go in the beginning, but these were just small hiccups on a nice stay. The day visitors seem to constantly go to the wrong entrance to check in, some signs in Italian would likely be helpful. My only real complaint is the toilet paper. The lodges are an expensive experience compared to the more budget friendly day pass or hotel rooms. But the toilet paper in the lodges was very very rough.

Un hotel con un fascino un po' retrò per quanto riguarda la parte di albergo tradizionale e con meravigliose piscine immerse nel verde . Un servizio attento ed elegante, ottima ristorazione forse con un rapporto qualità/prezzo un po' alto soprattutto per quanto riguarda il ristorante dell'hotel. Massaggi ayurvedici meravigliosi (Martina the best).

La location si presenta sicuramente curata in ogni minimo dettaglio,piscine e centro nero spa sicuramente di alta qualità ma il servizio offerto è veramente scadente. Negli spogliatoi tanti armadietti non funzionanti e un solo divanetto circolare interno che è davvero troppo poco per i tanti ospiti presenti in struttura. Servizio ristorante/bar scadente per una struttura che viene presentata come tra le migliori delle terme di montegrotto. Quasi due ore di attesa per due toast e un insalata sono veramente eccessivi. Servizi sicuramente da rivedere,un vero peccato per la bellezza della struttura.Esperienza sicuramente migliorabile in tanti aspetti .
