Casa Saramago is a quaint property, located in Monsaraz, a medieval village classified as a National Monument. The house features an outdoor swimming pool and a garden and is located a 30-minute drive from the border to neighboring Spain.
The confortable air-conditioned rooms include a private bathroom with a bath or shower, heating, TV and tiled floors. All rooms include a view a free private parking is also available onsite.
Breakfast is served every morning and is included in the room rate. There are many restaurant options less than 0.6 mi away from this Alentejo estate. Notorious for its wines, the region also specializes in dishes such as Açorda de Peixe do Rio (traditional bread-based fish dish) and Bolo Rançoso (almond and squash cake).
It is a 55-minute drive to Évora and its ancient walls, Roman Temple and the famous Bone Chapel, a chapel with its inside completely coated in human bones. Every July there is a city-wide festival called “Monsaraz Museu Aberto” where the local culture is on display, including cuisine, crafts, music and theater.
The Casa Saramago is located a 75-minute drive to the Beja Airport, and a 2-hour drive to the Lisbon International Airport.

An authentic casa nicely renovated and decorated in the peaceful countryside close to the beautiful village of Monsaraz in the Alentejo. We were happy to have chosen to stay there not only for the excellent location but also for Yvonne's and her collaborators' hospitality. This idyllic neighborhood has everything for you to spend a nice stay. We can only advise you to chose Yvonne's place.

Très bon accueil ! Bâtisse magnifique 🤩 Chambres confortables Tout était parfait lors de notre séjour ! Parking privé Nous n’avons pas pu profiter de tous les extérieurs car nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit mais ce lieu appelle à la détente et au farniente Nous y retournerons Merci ☺️

Excelente opción de alojamiento cerca del castillo de Monsaraz. Una finca en un entorno rural super tranquilo pero cerquita de lugares para comer. Predomina el color blanco con detalles azules en las paredes, los cuartos están decorados en un estilo campestre con muy buen gusto, todo extremadamente limpio. Tiene un sector de piscina abierto todo el día incluso por la noche. En los espacios comunes hay objetos de interés histórico o de la zona. El desayuno con mermeladas y pan casero

Dista circa un paio di chilometri dal villaggio medievale di cui si gode una bella vista dalla struttura. La nostra spaziosa camera è indipendente, al piano terra; un lato dà sulla strada, lungo la quale peraltro transitano pochissime auto. Bellissimi il pavimento, le mensole, il soffitto, tutti in scisto. L'arredamento country è grazioso e curato nei particolari. La pulizia è eccellente anche nel bagno ben attrezzato. Letti e cuscini sono comodi: si dorme bene. Inclusa nel prezzo, la colazione casalinga, dolce e salata, è semplice e abbondante. Ampio il parcheggio privato gratuito. Ordinatissima anche la piscina circondata dal verde. In particolare ospitale la padrona di casa, affabile e cordiale.

Uma casa divinal e super acolhedora! É difícil encontrar um sítio onde nos sintamos em casa e aqui senti-me em casa! O quarto era maravilhoso, o pequeno almoço também! O atendimento também foi fantástico! Se vierem a Monsaraz e procuram dormida, a casa Saramago é o sítio certo!
