B&B la Porta Vecchia

My wife and I stayed at B&B La Porta Vecchia this summer and it was absolutely amazing! Cosima and her team are so welcoming and accommodating. The location is literally about a 1 minute walk or so from Cala Porta Vecchia (the main beach) and minutes from everything in the Centro Storico. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms are beautiful. I cannot forget to mention the stunning rooftop terrace where we ate breakfast and once or twice bought some panini, focaccia e vino up to the rooftop for lunch. What a view and so relaxing! We stayed one night in the deluxe room, and then we had La Perla for 5 nights. Both rooms were really nice, but La Perla is like an apar**ent. It had all we needed to be very comfortable (like a home away from home). I didn't want to leave, and I can honestly say that I think a lot about "the next time" we will be in Monopoly! We will definitely be going back to La Porta Vecchia! I am ready to go now!!

Not for someone with a mobility issues, too many steep steps to breakfast area. Based in great location near the sea, the room I was in was not sound proofed as advertised. I had the same sheets on the bed for the whole duration of my stay, one week and it was pretty hot. Very clean, helpful staff. Bread for breakfast was stale on a few mornings and if you don’t enjoy sweet things and prefer the savoury it’s not for you. You may leave your luggage on checkout at 10.30 in the living area but there’s no place to change or wash up or a toilet if your flight is at a later time. That was a big issue for me. Pity

This is one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in. Cosima and her wonderful team are so welcoming. They really make you feel like you’re staying with family. Our room was absolutely perfect. It was very clean and spacious and we loved having the balcony. The bathroom facilities were great and the cleaners did a fantastic job of making up our room every day. We greatly enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace each morning and seeing what tasty cakes would have been freshly baked that morning. It was also some of the best coffee we had on our trip and Cosima made sure to give us regular top ups. The location of the B&B is better than we had imagined. We used the nearby carpark which was a couple of minutes walk and easy to access even with lots of luggage. You are as close as you can get to the beach and the surrounding bars and cafes were fantastic. We can’t wait to come back again.

A fine agosto abbiamo soggiornato 6 notti in questo delizioso B&b ubicato in un antico palazzo in uno dei caratteristici vicoli del centro storico di Monopoli, in posizione strategica per raggiungere in pochi minuti a piedi la spiaggia di Cala Porta Vecchia, la Cattedrale ed altri siti d'interesse della città. Comodissimo punto di partenza per raggiungere anche le bellissime località e le spiagge nei dintorni di Monopoli. La camera standard, al primo piano, ha un comodo letto matrimoniale, un letto singolo, impianto di aria condizionata ed un bagno (con piccola finestra) dotato di bidet ed ampia doccia. Pulizia impeccabile, sia in camera che in bagno. La camera non ha in dotazione il frigorifero che è però a disposizione degli ospiti nel locale cucina al piano superiore. Ma l'eccellenza di questo B&b è sicuramente la gentilissima e simpatica "padrona di casa", la Signora Cosima, che ci ha accolti con cortesia e disponibilità dandoci le informazioni utili per trascorrere al meglio la nostra vacanza. La colazione è un altro punto di forza, servita sulla bella terrazza con buonissimi dolci, yogurt, marmellate preparati da Cosima. Soddisfatti di tutto, anche del rapporto qualità/prezzo, perciò consiglio assolutamente il B&b La Porta Vecchia.

È stata una esperienza meravigliosa, le stanze sono pulitissime ed accoglienti così come la signora proprietaria del bed and Breakfast. Se dovette alloggiare a Monopoli, "la porta vecchia" è una garanzia. Colazione semplice ma molto sostanziosa, i prodotti sono tutti locali a km 0

Acceuil excellent de Cosima sans oublier son personnel. Très bien situé plein centre vieille ville.maison de caractère, calme. Par beau temps petite terrasse sur san Leonardo accueille les petits déjeuners. Tout près du port et de la zone d’ambiance.

Abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana in questa struttura situata nel centro storico di Monopoli e ci siamo trovati molto bene. La struttura, nonostante si trovi in area pedonale, è vicina ai parcheggi sia liberi che a pagamento e già questa è una cosa molto importante. Avevamo una bella camera sempre pulita con un bel bagno grande al primo piano. Unica pecca, forse, la mancanza di un frigo in camera ma presente in condivisione con gli altri ospiti all'ultimo piano della struttura dove veniva servita la colazione in una bellissima terrazza. La colazione prevedeva sempre, oltre ad altre cose buone, un dolce e lo yogurt fatto in casa dalla proprietaria Cosima, una donna molto in gamba, esperta e pratica nel suo lavoro e che voglio ringraziare per averci coccolato sempre e soprattutto per avermi fatto tutti i giorni il pasticciotto, dolce di cui sono molto golosa. Grazie di tutto Cosima ed a presto, spero!
