Castle Leslie Estate

I recently stayed in the stunning Castle Leslie Estate and it exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Mews which was truly a high standard accommodation. Not only the decor but the fine detail throughout made our stay cosy and welcoming. Cannot express the dedication and commitment all the staff put into making our stay so welcoming and enjoyable. A special mention to Kevin and Conaire, their professional approach on arrival and throughout our stay was superb. We dined in Snaffles restaurant, again words can't express the detail and presentation of each course. Couldn't fault our meal and of course the service. We strolled around the grounds which again felt like walking in an enchanted fairytale. At night the castle lit up beautifully and the following morning we got to visit the stables and meet some of the gorgeous horses. I would highly recommend visiting Castle Leslie it was a magical experience for me and my friends.

Beautiful hotel , fabulous food . Attentive and friendly staff .Nothing was too much . Our room had everything you could ask for . Great walks with views . Great tour of the Castle with the great story teller Endo . A dream birthday treat , thanks to my brother Wee Ginger John 🎉🥰

We had the most fabulous experience from check in until check out. Helpful, friendly and accommodating staff; nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the self catering Old Stable Mews which provided us with two bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an excellent outside, furnished space. Well equipped kitchen and real fire. Brilliant accommodation. Breakfast each morning at Conor’s was fulsome and delicious. Dinner at Conor’s was brilliant. Plenty of scenic walks, horse riding and a fabulous spa. A really, really excellent stay at a gorgeous Estate.

This is a truly wonderful place to experience. What Castle Leslie does well is to make you very welcome. If you like horses, even better! The staff are plentiful, attentive and pleasant and those at reception are not sitting about filing their nails or on their phones! Let me commend in particular the superb five-course fine dining experience on a Sunday night (six if you count the little treat at the end). On arrival into the bedroom (called 'Grundy') a very nice touch was a little cake each to go with a cup of tea or coffee. In order to make things even better for other guests, we have identified three issues for improvement. First and foremost: staff in the bar need to be trained to pour a full pint in order to avoid any feeling of people being short-charged for the €7.80 a pint of the gorgeous Castle Leslie lager costs. We had to mention this point twice. Second, the tablet in the bedroom never came on despite us charging it repeatedly on the docking station. Third, my missus noticed that the blinds were marked in several places with a rust colour. That's her "hotel inspector" side coming through. In all, however, other than the bar issue these are not major issues and we found the price a very good one indeed for dinner, B&B and overnight accommodation (in a very comfortable bed) for two in a luxurious setting.

Had a wonderful two night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Jigsaw room in the Lodge was so spacious and the bed was so comfy. We dined both nights in Snaffles and the food was excellent with the duck a particular highlight. Our waitress Julie was exceptional, so friendly and brilliant at her job as was Maria. Nice touches like a glass of Prosecco and a handwritten card in our room to mark our anniversary were lovely. Breakfast was also superb with almost 20 cooked to order options and an extensive buffet. We walked around the estate for almost 2 hours and loved all the history and scenery. Staff across the hotel are so well trained, approachable and knowledgable and make the hotel what it is. Hope to return to mark more occasions!

I booked a last minute stay at Castle Leslie, which was perfect from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Our room was gorgeous and spotless, dinner was amazing and breakfast was great. The service at dinner was especially amazing, with the 5 course dinner tailored to suit my dietary requirements with no issue. The grounds are amazing with lots of opportunities to walk and explore. Couldn’t recommend Castle Leslie enough!
