Manoir de Kertalg

This B&B is located in a quiet rural setting. It does not have a Bar or Restaurant but Drinks can be ordered from reception. Therefore you have to drive to the nearest town for lunch or Dinner. The room and bathroom decor is very dated but clean. Unfortunately our room at close to €400 per night had a musty smell. The WiFi is unreliable.

The hotel is set back from the road in a wooded area, accessed by a long drive. The building looks splendid and is in excellent condition. The lobby, on arrival, sets the tone of the building. Being on the second floor, access to the room via a narrow spiral staircase was a little challenging - a lift would be useful The rooms are comfortable, with good WiFi. However, I was disappointed that there was not even one english speaking channel on the TV. BBC news would have been good. Breakfast was served in the breakfast room overlooking the grounds and was very good. There is no restaurant on site, but the staff recommended good restaurants in the area. Overall a very comfortable hotel, but certainly gave the impression of being pretentious.

Un (trop bref) séjour nous a conduit au Manoir de Kertalg. L'établissement est très beau, et le parc et les massifs sont parfaitement entretenus. L'endroit est extrêmement calme, il se dégage une impression de sérénitéNotre chambre n'était pas immense, mais au vu du plan de l'hôtel il y en a d'autres beaucoup plus vastes. La décoration, les matériaux, la literie, tout est de haut niveau. La salles de bains est bien équipée et on peut s'y retourner, les toilettes sont séparées. Le personnel est très agréable, le petit déjeuner est copieux et de qualité. Peut-être pourrait-on suggérer la climatisation dans les chambres, mais son absence n'a en rien gâché notre séjour, et l'air frais du soir par la fenêtre ouverte à très bien assuré le confort pour la nuit. En résumé ce manoir est un bien bel établissement où nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
