Club Serena Resort

The receptionist was very dedicated in taking us to look over the compound and rooms. The "white beach", which mistakenly appears on google-maps 2 kms south, is actually at this resort: white strip of sand and two pools. Good rooms; good restraunt, though service is VERY slow. Rates are rather high.

Such an amazing stay at this private resort. It was a bit difficult to get to as it’s a 20 minute or so ride to town or Panagsama road. We booked a garden villa with an outdoor patio/terrace up front direct on their website. They were very responsive via email and Whatsapp. The room had an indoor/outdoor room vibe. We felt really safe as there were security 24/7 and there weren’t a lot of villas in the resort. It honestly felt like our own resort. The water pressure wasn’t so strong for our shower so don’t expect much given that the resort is a bit remote, though housekeeping did a good job of maintaining cleanliness of our room. They have a restaurant with amazing breakfast food that was included in the stay. However, their lunch and dinner options were very limited. Most, if not all of their foods were not available. A drive into town costs 600 pesos roundtrip so I suggest planning ahead. The location was also great as it was literally by White beach and steps away from the area where people usually gather for the sunset, which was beautiful and totally recommend checking it out besides the shore near the resort. Overall, we thought the stay was amazing due to incredible staff, especially the front desk who were very helpful from the beginning until the end of our stay. We had a hard time reaching out to our next accommodation in another island and they were all so helpful! We didn’t have cash and an associate suggested alternative options out of her own pocket which shows how much they go above and beyond. One suggestion for the resort is to have a package on airport transfer included with the room fee because I can only imagine what’s keeping guests from booking the resort is it’s location and transportation fee of 4500 pesos per trip. Moalboal is already a 3-4 hour drive from Cebu City, and from the town, it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the resort.

Friendly and efficient staff. My siblings and I opted to come here for a last hurrah before my brother moves overseas. We travelled with 2 small children. Great choice, they have kiddie pool and it’s open until 10pm. Beach fronting so it’s convenient. Restaurant is open breakfast straight to dinner. Friendly, flexible and efficient staff.

My Titas from Canada and US together with my Cousin who work from Dubia and other cousins decided to have a beach break after the wake of my Tita so we all decided to try Club Serena Resort. It was the best choice we had because we had rested and enjoyed a lot. The accomodation was perfect and the staff was so accomodating that it turns our mini vacation in a perfect gate away. Everyone love the place despite the slight problem of the wifi because of its serene place that its almost a private resort for us even there are other guest. We surely go back in this place.

Great Resort. Beach is beautiful, the pool is fantastic, the rooms were great. The staff are fantastic Richard at the front desk is an absolute gem. It’s our second time here and it’s a great spot. We paid 6k for a great room. It’s about a 15 mins from the main town so having transport is a must. Highly recommended.

Location: Very bad bumpy road before you can reach to the hotel. Nothing much going on around the property. Room: We stayed at two of the deluxe pool access suites. The hygiene level is questionable- the floor is very sticky, the outdoor shower is faulty, the electricity gone twice, one of the suites has faulty lock- the room cannot be locked at all. Most of the bathroom appliances are rusty. Super low water pressure. Pool: not clear and can spot some plastic in the garden pool. However the pool besides the restaurant looks inviting. Beach- looks good during high tide. Only during high tide. Pretty sunset could be seen from the property. Service: Just average- nothing overwhelming. F&B: Buffet breakfast was good for the first day. Ala carte wasn’t good. Requested for butter and have been told they have no butter but there is a toaster and jam. Second day breakfast has very limited buffet spread and again the ala carte was not good.
