Pros - easy parking in close proximity and room was clean. Easy walking distance to local restaurants and bars. Cons - uncomfortable bed, unfriendly staff, room not serviced and constantly woken from doors slamming from other occupants. Did not try the restaurant or the bar so unable to comment. Would not stay again.

Food from the bistro is no longer any good. Chicken schnitzel no longer comes with any chicken in it. Yuck! They nolonger make their own but get it in frozen. Mash no longer tastes like it used too either. We ordered chicken schnitzel and the ribs, have ordered before, and been here many times. But will not come again, over salted Food, was rubbish. Feel sorry for the staff always friendly and place it kept clean and inviting.

It's 5 of 6 Hotel in Mittagong for a reason!!! Room next to shared bathroom with slamming doors all night - door should have slow close mechanism. On main road, so noisy. Also, creaking floorboards were annoying and noisy - not quaint or shows character, just annoying. Broken light in ensuite bathroom. Female host charged me $10 more than my booking (didn't realise till I got home). Male host was rude, as I had a restaurant booking that was not reserved. Though I had made the booking 3 months earlier, he just didn't care. He said I could go to the bar and order there if I wanted food. Sit in the bar with drunken tradies, TAB outlet and stools - no thanks. That's why I made the restaurant booking, so I didn't have to sit with noisy, drunken bar patrons. So, went to great Indian restaurant down the road.

We are a family of five who had dinner on a Friday night. Luckily we booked a table late afternoon as the whole dining area was full by 6:30pm (Got the impression that most patrons were locals). The food was really good, robust Australian pub food ( not gourmet ), and the serves where generous. We all had different meals - ribs, parma, burger, steak and bangers w mash - and we where really happy with what was served.

Nice cosy bistro dining room with fireplace and delicious good value pub meals with generous servings. Service was attentive and friendly. The chicken parmy was a standout using thigh fillets which were tender and succulent. The rump steak was also fantastic. Highly recommend.
