Beach & Bliss Mirissa

What I liked ? Location, view,room, pool What I didn’t like ? Took so long to prepare the room. There were flies all around the food that’s being prepared by the cook. I did not eat anything that’s being exposed but god knows what happens in the kitchen. The shower was too small. You cannot swim in the sea as it’s rocky.

Their idea of a family room was a unhygienic warehouse full of “leftover” disposable furniture, last time I checked, this was not the definition of good “hotel” or “air bnb”, despite our fair criticism, our conversation with the manager has turned into a fight, I don’t think he’s much of a stable manager either. Well done “manager”, you have found one job you should not have pursued in life. So, If you have a family, try to avoid this certain hotel, you will save alot of time 😉

One of the best hotels that we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Right up against the beach front with beautiful views, modern and spacious rooms, and great facilities. The food served at the restaurant was reasonably proced and delicious, and the hotel is very close to Mirissa Beach and Turtle Point. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating, making our stay a very positive experience. We will definitely be back when travelling Sri Lanka next, and would highly recommend to anyone else going through Mirissa.

You will probably be fine based on the majority of reviews here and I really wanted to love it, but having to move rooms due to cockroaches and food poisoning on the last day, I’m afraid 3 stars is all I can give. I didn’t find the rooms particularly clean either. Location is great in terms of the beach but everything else is either a 30 minute walk or tuk tuk ride away.

I am not sure how other people can praise this place so much, since it is run down, not clean and has very unprofessional manager. The walls are dirty in the room, stains on the bed, dirty classes etc. You can judge this on your own from the photos I am adding. There are other much nicer places in Mirissa.

Having arrived early following a nightmarish stay in Yala, I was skeptical about this place. On check in another quest had told me how lovely it was, and she was was correct. I’m not sure about the previous negative review as I found the complete opposite. We stayed on the top level. Breathtaking views. The only sound was crashing waves. My son loved the pool. They catered for his extreme for sensitivities. Our room was clean from what I could see. There was parking for our car. I’d happily provide 5 stars.

We had a great stay here and treated our Sri Lankan family. The chef and kitchen and service was phenomenal and the rooms were great. Lot of room. Ensure to enter the number of people you plan to have with you while booking, otherwise you might get surprising surcharges. I checked online and could have gotten the same rate I paid if I entered the right amount of people. The hotel manager was not very pleasant, I guess he saw the Dollar signs in his eyes when he saw a foreigner coming in. I would probably stay here again, but there are many other places in the south we are going to check out first.

Beach n Bliss in Mirissa, Sri Lanka is an incredible property with exceptional hospitality. The staff is kind, helpful, and sweet, making the stay unforgettable. The General Manager, Mr Rusiru, personally took care of all our requirements and made us feel at home. Only regret is that we didn't get to see his music performance live! Mr Kenath, handles the bar, but he is everywhere, taking care of all that needs to be taken care of. We haven't met a person like him in a long time. He felt like a caring elder brother. Chef Priyantha's preparations are delicious.He is always happy to customize dishes. Ruwan and Mahesh in the restaurant are extremely courteous and helpful. The property offers a hassle-free pickup from the airport, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, with balconies and bathtubs. The property is within walking distance from Mirissa beach and has its own private beach area. The common pool is big and well-maintained, and the restaurant and bar are amazing. The team helped with renting bikes and cars and came to our rescue when we ran into trouble with the local traffic police. The property is clean, and quiet, and offers several areas to sit and relax or work. On my partner's birthday, they organized an amazing cake and wine. The team found us another amazing property for the next leg of our stay and negotiated the price for us, costing us the same. Overall, staying at Beach n Bliss should be on everyone's to-do list while in Mirissa.
