Tudanca Miranda

We have stayed here a couple of times pre pandemic,it's a good hotel convenient for the motorway north and south,plus the river and old town worth a stroll.The reason for writing this review(I haven't been moved to write one for a couple of years) is Tudancas receptionist,Lorena.what a credit to the business!! We were allocated a room but wanted to be on the river side,the hotel was busy but Lorena without fuss allocated us another room everything we asked about was dealt with cheerfully and efficiently,she even printed off two e tickets for us! Grupo Tudanca,you have a brilliant asset to your business,UK hotels would be pleased to have her.

Marion needs manners ! We booked online and arrived to a very busy checking in session. Marion the mature lady on reception was extremely curt to the point of being rude. We understood that it was busy for her with what appeared to be a group booking checking in but she was far from welcoming and couldn’t smile or greet anyone. We were given an accessible room with a wet room and I was looking forward to a bath as we had stayed here 3 times in the past. We asked her if we could swap rooms to one with a bath but we were clearly making her more unhappy. We were not fussy weather it was a twin room or a double, we just wanted a regular bathroom with bath. Marion very reluctantly swapped our room after telling us it was not possible and she re programmed our door key then literally threw the key on the reception desk in front of us then turned her back on us to see to other guests. We were horrified at this and so too we’re the next couple checking in that witnessed this behaviour. Marion you really are in the wrong job ! We will not be put off staying at the hotel you work in because in previous stays every time it has been a pleasure. The younger lady on reception In the morning was very pleasant and we reported to her how rude Marion was., she apologised for Marion’s rudeness. We will see you next year and hopefully Marion will have learnt how to cope with checking in a group booking without showing her stress through rudeness. The breakfast staff and housekeeping staff were very pleasant when we encountered them.

De camino a Bilbao, me quedé para hacer noche en el hotel. Un hotel de 3 estrellas que necesita una buena reforma. Las habitaciones que enseñan en la web y en Booking, no se corresponden con la mayoría de las habitaciones. Aunque tuve “suerte” de que me tocara al final una habitación “remodelada” aunque el motivo fue que… al llegar me asignaron una habitación que al entrar… la cama deshecha. El baño usado… Supongo que por error… De cualquier forma, la habitación donde finalmente dormir, remodelada… tampoco era gran cosa. Habitaciones mal insonorizadas. Mini Bar vacío. El desayuno incluido en la habitación…. Malísimo. Solo pan, jamón de York del malo, queso en lonchas y mini napolitanas. Café malísimo. Hay un desayuno “mejor” pero no incluido en el precio de la habitación con desayuno. Desde luego, no volveré

Hotel de tres estrellas. Solo estuvimos una noche de paso. La recepción y restaurante correctos. La habitación triple olía mal,TV muy pequeña y muy muy antigua . El desayuno muy simple como la habitación.Se ve que solo han reformado la entrada del hotel.

Si buscas un hotel antiguo (o más...),mal insonorido,con un desayuno cuartelero (cuidadín con el café ...) ,habitaciones vintage donde descansar se hace dificil ,personal con cara poker (normal por el escenario) ; no te lo pienses . Han renovado algunas habitaciones y el hall , el resto del hotel permanece impasible al paso de los siglos .Si te toca alguna excursión o gente poco dada a respetar el descanso de los demás, te llevas el juego completo. Como "experiencia" y relación calidad-precio , no lo recomiendo.

Las habitaciones que aparecen publicadas están reformadas pero nos dieron una de los años 70 sin reforma. El servicio pésimo, una luz de baño empezó a parpadear y se encendía y apagaba, vinieron a verlo y no hicieron nada para solucionarlo.
