What a lovely surprise ! From the minute we arrived we were impressed by the Lord Nelson. We had called ahead as we thought we might arrive after check in time of 10pm. Charlotte on reception could not have been more friendly or helpful, even rustling up a couple of delicious sandwiches even though the kitchen had closed. Our room was spacious and the bed so comfortable , and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lush - highly recommend the Full Nelson. I am also a bit in love with the wallpaper- totally bonkers, but it works! Would definitely stay again .

Dorian is the best! What a fabulous guy, a few little complaints with food however nothing Dorian couldn’t over come for us. His cocktails, cheerful, chatty self was the main attraction. What a great guy! He couldn’t have done anything more for us!!!! We will be back for Dorian. From 10 wild girls celebrating a 40th birthday!

We waited in the restaurant entrance two waitresses walked straight past us, no acknowledgement by either. There was only one other in couple so it was not due to restaurant being busy. We approached the bar and told another server that we had a reservation, giving our name she gave no reply whilst she looked at her phone, to check our booking. We were then pointed to our table and given menus, and left and left and left. During this time we noticed how dirty the table, cutlery and glasses were, i had to ask for table to be wiped. Without warning our starter cutlery was snatched from our settings, with a phrase 'we have to take as you only eating main' The meal was passable if you like catering pack roast meat, over cooked and dry roast root vegetables and minimal and over cooked vegetables. The decor is dark and still has the weatherspoon cheap vibe. Not somewhere we will be returning.

Hotel was lovely and quirky , very clean and great for the marina bars and eateries. Menu is quite small but the food was delicious and plentiful. The room itself which was a king room was a bit of a let down. I had originally booked a queen room which overlooked the harbour but we were given a side room which you could see the sea but from the side of the hotel. Carpet was a bit worn and the curtains to long for the window which meant they didn’t hang right and looked untidy . It was clean and quiet though. We had breakfast which was really nice and well worth what we paid. The hotel is at the top of a hill so if your less mobile I would recommend another hotel. Would definitely return .

Stayed here on Business. Room was very clean and good size. TV was a bit of a challenge to work out but finally got there. I also stayed at the premises for food which I don’t usually do staying at a hotel. I have to say the food was lovely and a great selection of beers to choose from. Staff were very friendly and I was never without a drink. Breakfast was also worth the money. Will definetly stay again.

What a lovely experience. Have stayed here previously under old management when the rooms were tired and in need of upgrading. Arrived at the hotel which looks fantastic. Shown to the same room as we had previously stayed in. What a difference. Upgraded, clean, lovely. As was breakfast and the lovely friendly staff/owner. Would definitely stay again.

I booked this place as I needed somewhere cheap to stay as a sole trader . I also wanted somewhere that wasn’t too shabby as I like nice places . I rarely write reviews - but this hotel has stolen my heart - the staff have been absolutely amazing - really understand what great - no , excellent customer service should be . My room is really lovely - huge bed, spotless white bed sheets , beautifully refurbished and new carpets . Super bathroom as well . Absolutely lovely and a real gem of a find. This is my new go to place to stay when I visit west wales now .

Me and my girlfriend came for a long weekend away, The hotel is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. Each and every member of staff are polite, Well dressed and professional, They were able to recommend cocktails and food. The food was some of the best I've eaten and I have been a chef for 10 years. We stayed in a sea view suite and the room was perfect! The beds are so comfy and the whole room and bathroom were immaculate. I would recommend that anybody who comes to stay in Milton Haven spend there time and at the Lord Nelson Hotel! It's been an absolute pleasure and we hope to return in the future.
