La Blanche Island Bodrum

As a family of 3 going to Turkey for the first time we thought this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The setting is amazing, after arriving in the dark we were overwhelmed with the view that we had from our room when we woke up in the morning. The room itself was clean and spacious, with the added touch of having a mini bar stocked up every day it was perfect, what more do you want. The food was great, lots of selection from the buffet, especially enjoyed the freshly made omelets for breakfast. The Mexican snack bar and Italian pizza bar down by the beach were really lovely as a change from sitting in a "normal" all inclusive style restaurant. The highlight of the holiday for us was definitely Vira fish restaurant on the Pier. The food was amazing during the day and also we selected this as our al la carte choice for one night which was some of the best food I've ever had. The setting is amazing and we are literally looking to book up again for next year just so we can jump off the pier and swim in the beautiful sea down there again. Drinks were great wherever we went, the guy at the pool bar was great, constantly making cocktails for everyone on his own all day. Wherever we went the staff always remembered our drinks which was a nice touch. I must say this hotel has some of the nicest staff I've ever come across on holiday, everyone was lovely and friendly and made an effort to talk to you and say hello, but no one was pushy or annoying when trying to sell you things around the pool which I don't generally like on holiday, it can get annoying but never once did I feel that I was being pestered. We weren't planning on leaving the hotel but after meeting Tom around the pool we decided to go on the trip to Shanghi in Gumbet, which was a lovely, great value for money and nice to get a change of scenery. Andy was also really lovely and gave us a great deal to go into the Turkish foam bath and have a full body massage, it was so good we even booked up again on the last day to go in again, would highly recommend. I really don't have anything bad to say about La Blanche Island, it was amazing and we'll see you again next year!

- It was a really nice visit, and the staff were all really friendly and amazing. Not all spoke English, but they'd find someone to help if needed. - Bar staff were really nice and make excellent drinks. Nice and strong and decent quality. - The room was really comfortable with plenty of space, very nice mattress and seating area. TV was a little small but you hardly used it anyway. - The entertainment staff were friendly, and the spa staff were not pushy at all - The food, while tasty and with enough variety for a week's stay, was always lukewarm. (Cold scrambled eggs) It was rare to get something hot, I dont think that the heating plates were working, or they were turned off. - Desserts were always rrally good, little tarts, cheesecakes, baklava etc - The snack bars were good, burgers, chicken strips, wraps etc were nice little bites.The tacos were not tacos, but a bit of chicken with spicy sauce covering. - The Starbucks on site was also really good, though it was only one girl working, and while she moved quickly the queues were about 10 mins -The pools were freezing, it was ucomfortable to be in there for a long time. The sea was warmer. - The sunbeds were all comfortable, plenty of shelter if you dont want to be in the sun, and dont want to mess about with umbrella's - About 30 mins from the airport so a little far from town.

Staying at la blanche island resort and had an absolute amazing time. The staff are so lovely and friendly, especially Bostan at guest relations who helped with booking our a la carte. A brilliant service. The pools and slides were lots of fun, We took part in some of the activities and watched the kids disco and shows. We definitely would recommend and return.

Our stay at this hotel overall was extremely satisfying and relaxing. Lots of strengths with some little areas where they could improve. The positives are incredible panoramic views which enhanced a real relaxing wellbeing feeling. The restaurant and bar staff in general were extremely helpful and friendly, plenty of choice with the food and an excellent out door grilling area where you could get awesome grilled fish and meats, the turkey was particularly good. We also enjoyed using the spa facilities especially the sauna and gym again friendly and helpful. Especially the lady in the gym very nice, and Andy from the spa. If you fancy a trip to Bodrum a bus picks you up just outside the main entrance and returns all for about €3 ea saves a fortune on taxes, worked well for us and enjoyed the visit especially for shopping. Pools very clean always a life guard about plenty of fresh towels available. Some staff walking about to invite you for trips to Bodrum or water sport, a big shout out to Tom and Jimmy very friendly and welcoming. Entertainment was really good, excellent shows and bands. We saw Harmony 4 one night extremely good lots of people dancing, headed by the entertainment team who were excellent headed up by Madi and Will very friendly and professional. Another strength lots of themed snack bar restaurants Mexican, Italian, Turkey etc, enjoyed those. So little negatives hotels a bit dated and needs refurbishing in certain areas, ie lots of tiles cracked and patched up in the outside areas, runs need updating to although spectacular views!. A problem in rush hour timing at the main restaurant we could not find a table and had to wait. Also although Star bucks was amazing we spent to much time in queues waiting for our drinks up to 30 minutes sometimes. To resolve this it’s so popular just get another machine and person and problem solved. Although beach area was nice there was not enough staff clearly rubbish away after people had eaten so often left over paper plates and cups about, this aspect should be improved on as it would improve your experience. So to conclude very happy overall with great strengths some small problems but would definitely come back and would say excellent value for the money. Thanks la blanch we had an amazing holiday!!

Great place where the staff look after you tremendously well. Big call out to Soner Yilmaz at the Vira a la carte restaurant who goes above and beyond to ensure you get outstanding service each time. We've been 3 times now and looking forward to our 4th visit next year.

An absolutely fantastic hotel! We loved La Blanche Island. Location - It was a very short transfer from Bodrum Airport (less than 10 minutes). We didn’t attempt to walk anywhere out of the resort, we only used pre-booked taxi’s, as there is a long quiet road down to the hotel and quite a few wild dogs outside of the perimeter. They never entered the hotel grounds. Appearance and Amenities - The hotel was clean and modern. It was gorgeous having the whole island to ourselves hotel, it felt so private and special. There are plenty of places to eat and drink all around the island. There are also some swings in the ocean to get a pretty picture on. There is more than enough space in the pools and the beach is easily accessible from most parts of the island. The hotel room was spacious and well-looked after however not very sound proof. The entertainment is on until very late and when you’re in your room you can hear everything. Food was varied and delicious. It’s incredibly difficult to get a booking in any of the restaurants. Staff & Entertainment - The staff were polite and attentive. The children’s team were fantastic with the children and there was a very short mini disco every night. This was enough to keep the kids interested and let them blow off some steam but not to trap parents for hours. It was 6/7 songs maximum. The shows/performers were different every night and most of them moved from the amphitheater to continue their performance by the pool until late in the evening. There are sales reps walking around trying to entice you to buy trips, etc. The only negative when we stayed was that there was a business event on both weekends, and the foyer/bars were filled with business owners. It was a bit uncomfortable walking posts in your swimsuit as they’re in suits selling medical equipment. However, this might have been a rare event.
