Hotel Luxor

Excellent service and wonderful staff, this hotel is located close to the centre of Milano Marittima and is a short walk from the beach. We had very comfortable room, and upgraded to a penthouse suite for the second week of our stay, Can’t fault the staff, all were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean.

We spent ten nights at the Luxor in May/June 2022 with our 8-month-old son. It was a fantastic experience and we look forward to coming back! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in communicating with us even before we booked. We are vegetarian/vegan and the staff were really great about supporting this and making accommodations for us where necessary. Some more details on the meals, which were really tasty! The breakfast consisted of some bread with scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh waffles and pancakes. But the biggest component was the selection of cakes and pastries. We really enjoyed working our way through all the options. Each day at breakfast, we were given a menu of dinner options to choose from. This was the same for lunch, but we did not have lunch included in our booking. Dinner consisted of a buffet for salads and starters as well as some fruit and desserts. The menu options were for primi and secondi. Out of the 10 nights we ate dinner, 4 did not have vegetarian options; however, we just ordered vegetarian meals from the lunch menu and this did not cause any problems. In fact, upon our arrival we were told that any meal could be made vegan upon request. The Maître D' in particular was extremely helpful and took great care of us! Similarly, for our baby the chef made specific versions of the children's menu without added salt and with baby-friendly bite sizes. Overall, the food was fantastic and a real highlight of our holiday! This was the first holiday where we weren't bored with the vegetarian options after 3 days - in fact, we would have loved to stay even longer! We felt very well taken care of and that our diet was being taken seriously. The hotel is very well set up for families with small children. We were given a cot, a kettle and a baby bath for our room; as well as being given access to a microwave (for sterilising) and a washing machine. Additionally, all the staff were lovely and our baby made instant friends with all of them. The pool was nice and mostly quiet. We never lacked for a parasol but I'm not sure if the same holds true when it's really busy. All in all, we can recommend the hotel wholeheartedly and look forward to returning soon!

Pro’s They made attempts at some entertainment in the hotel terrace on an evening which was pleasant. Also one evening was a complimentary aperitivo with drinks and snacks, this was very well organised and very nice. The location is great, just minutes from the beach and town centre. Note they do not have a pool in the hotel grounds but the pool is only a couple of minutes walk away. The pool is open to the public and shared with other hotels, but the Luxor does have an area where beds are reserved, so even though the pool was very busy there was never a problem finding beds. Room service was good, rooms are brightly decorated and were always clean. Con’s Generally, the inconsistency of the food. Don’t be fooled by the management pictures on TripAdvisor. The food is generally below par. Sometimes very good.... sometimes average and sometimes just very bad! The first night we had fish. Unfortunately it was terrible and tasteless... the hotel is next to the sea... what a shame! Cold desserts were often sitting out on the buffet and not properly chilled. Once we took a tiramisu and it was actually over room temperature getting warm! One night we were sitting for dinner and two guests near us were eating totally different food to everyone else (real grilled seafood... ) we asked what they were eating we were told its from a 'different menu... special order'.... which no one told us about or didn’t exist anywhere!?! What is that, preferential treatment to friends or regular customers…. or just really poor running... because absolutely no other special menu options were offered to us. Once day chicken arrived under cooked (actually pink in the middle) (and note this was for a child also)... we asked if they can put back on the grill they replied ‘yes if you want it well done we can do it’... (well done?? Its chicken!!) :-) Another day, chili con carne... absolutely no flavour... just salty tomato source and mince... literally... that was the ingredients and taste... also it was supposed to be tacos... but actually only arrived with half a dry tortilla... Another day, we ordered deep fried prawns, sounded great... but they actually left the shell on the prawns! So if you bite into it you get the shell... never ever have we seen this before. You don’t leave the shell on deep fried battered prawns… ever. Although our deal was All-inclusive note there was not even coffee included... not only you cannot have your coffee at the table after the meal... you have to leave the table and go down to the bar. Very strange. We raised our concerns, mainly based on hygiene... many covid rules were broken around the hotel, staff and buffet. The management wasn't interested and was defensive. This is a major mistake from a hotel management not caring about the clients. I have stayed in hotels all around the world and never once had such a defensive reaction... nothing worse than when the management think they are better than the guests and

L’ingrediente segreto è L’amore… Si è propio vero. Hotel Luxor Struttura posizionata in un punto strategico della zona mare di Milano Marittima vicina al mare e a due passi (20m) dalla passeggiata più famosa di MI.MA. dove la Movida e i vari locali ne fanno da padrone. Hotel accogliente(ottima l’accoglienza con la professionalità di Vanessa) pulito organizzato e ottimamente attrezzato. Personale molto attento alle esigenze del cliente e professionale . Camere comode e ben arredare con tutti i confort possibili, Hotel dotato di una bella piscina attrezza. La cucina credo sia il punto forte di questo ottimo Hotel dalla colazione inimitabile fantastica abbondante curata e indimenticabile… bella sorpresa per il pranzo che offre la possibilità di mangiare un pasto veloce in giardino o addirittura in piscina dove sia l’acqua che i soft drink sono compresi nel prezzo . La cena anch’essa all’altezza delle aspettative con piatti gustosi è mai banali,curati con attenzione alle materie prime di altissima qualità, Dolci,una vera apoteosi di “Dolcezza” buonissimi con un plauso particolare alle torte fatte in casa(buonissime) assaggiate durante il nostro soggiorno. Che dire ci avete conquistato una vera vacanza di puro relax coccolati in tutto da parte dell’intero staff dell’hotel. Plauso per l’intero staff del “LUXOR Mi.Ma.”che con molta passione e garbo ci hanno fatto passare una settimana di puro relax e spensieratezza, da ricordare anche l’ottimo servizio “Lounge Bar”. Complimenti speciali per la professionalità a tutto il gruppo ristorazione capeggiato dal maître di sala MICHELE E per finire un ringraziamento particolare a PAOLA l’anima e l’energia del “LUXOR Mi.Ma.”per la sua gentilezza professionalità e simpatia sempre attenta a qualsiasi nostra esigenza . Das Hotel ist wirklich, wirklich toll! Sehr sauber, selbst die Standardzimmer sind voll in Ordnung. Frühstück war sehr lecker und für jeden was dabei! Das Personal ist unheimlich freundlich und zuvorkommend (aber auch nicht übertrieben). Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Verschiedene Getränke am Pool konnten jederzeit aus einer Zapfstation geholt werden - war super!! Der einzige Wehrmutstropfen war die ältere „Dame“, die für den Pool zuständig war ＞ sowas unfreundliches trifft man selten!!! Wir stellten sehr schnell keine Fragen mehr - man traute sich ja kaum einen Kaffee zu bestellen…. Am Freitag nahm eine Familie den ganzen Pool in Beschlag - niemand reagierte darauf! Ein Gast zog es vor die Siesta vorzeitig zu beenden, worauf ebenfalls nicht reagiert wurde - bei anderen Gästen wurde hier auf die Minute geachtet! Das Verhalten dieser Dame änderte sich komischerweise schlagartig, wenn die Chefin nach dem rechten schaute oder sie beim Hotel angetroffen wurde….

Struttura molto bella e accogliente, a due passi dal centro di Milano Marittima Personale super, tutto gentilissimo e mega disponibile: dalla reception ai ragazzi in sala (un particolare grazie ad Alessandro per essere stato sempre così cordiale). Il sorriso fa da padrone al Luxor Hotel. Disponibili anche prodotti per intolleranze. Una tristezza ad andarsene, felici però di ritornare a breve! Grazie davvero a tutti, tutti.

Prima volta al Luxor e non sarà l'ultima. Pulizia , cordialità e ottimo cibo. Belli gli spazi esterni una colazione che si lascia ricordare per la varietà e la qualità dei prodotti. Ottima vicinanza dal mare e una piscina meravigliosa. Personale attento e disponibile.

Hotel Luxor una garanzia! Siamo tornati per un ultimo weekend di fine estate e confermiamo la piacevolissima vacanza. Oasi di pace, posizione comodissima, colazione che è un vero e proprio brunch, non manca nulla, coccolati da tutto lo staff. Grazie, a presto.

Ho soggiornato con mia madre nel settembre 2022. Posto molto bello ed accogliente. Personale gentilissimo. Camere ed ambienti puliti. Colazione a buffet abbondante e varia così come per pranzo e cena . Lo consiglio vivamente. A due passi dalla movida.
