Sol Parc Hotel & Apartments

Awful, place did B&B. Room ok pillow flat and hard, kitchen utensils rather lacking, balcony never any sun, everything always damp. Breakfast average, coffee disgusting. Pools never used as to many trees and no sun, surrounding area only one place to go for a decent meal, and they did a decent coffee. Would I go again, only if they paid me

It is quite disapointment. Servis is fine and place is clean. Room was after reconstruction, but fridge was just painted by white collor. :D Evening program is only in French and quality of food? Disaster! There is chance to find one meal from offer, but that taste. I do not recommend to eat in this hotel!

I don't understand all the negative reviews of the hotel complex. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's a 3 star resort so we didn't go expecting a 5 star resort. Clean complex throughout. Quite basic cooking facilities (we were self catering) but we managed to cook breakfasts and a couple of meals with no problem. Yes, the resort does have mainly French and Spanish holidaymakers. I certainly didn't have an issue with that. The onsite supermarket is well stocked for basics and lovely freshly baked bread each day. The beach is amazing, a five minute walk across a boardwalk. I would advise that you buy mosquito repellent and use it. Due to being in a wooded area all of son parc area has lots of mosquitos. The town doesn't seem to have survived covid well. Lots of restaurants' were closed and looked run down. There were a few nice ones still open though. Try a quick taxi ride to Fornells as it has lots of nice places to eat.

Just returned and feel had to comment about awful pool areas and gardens and bird mess literally everywhere The apartment was basic but very clean along with bathroom Beautiful beach , gorgeous sand ,clear water What's let's the place down is the run down and disgusting pool areas Never cleaned ,mould everywhere Small pool always in shade Main pool only half in shade all day And the kids slide area ( see pic ) disgusting Bird muck everywhere and smelly Chairs in middle of now where Very poor hotel I'd rate it one or maybe two stars Needs serious money spending on it Wouldn't recommend at all See pics to see the state of the place

The views are stunning, the beach a paradise, the small pool relaxing and well shaded by trees. This was the cleanest accommodation ever - the cleaners were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Equally the staff working in the grounds did all they could to keep everywhere maintained, comfortable and pleasurable. Air con and wifi brilliant too. The availability of food for those not on an all-inclusive holiday was not as advertised. It was simply not possible to buy a meal. That was ok as the self catering facilities were good and the shops well-stocked. The one remaining local restaurant, los porches, was fabulous and well run, but it was sad to see so many empty, closed businesses. Many have commented on the entertainment at Sol Parc so we knew what to expect- we didn’t join in but it was fun to sit on the balcony and listen to (Messieurs et Mesdames - Eurovision vibes) and it ended promptly at 10:30pm. The decor was dated but inoffensive. Negatives - the Reception staff. The younger ones were helpful and efficient at, for example, booking taxis and loaning equipment, but those who were more senior found it hard to put the customer first. Everything was prefaced with- we’re full, we’re too busy, we weren’t expecting you, we can’t help you, you can’t do that, don’t sit there, etc. On arrival we were told that the rooms we had been allocated were unsuitable for us but there was nothing else. It took them over an hour to check in the group and the whole process was fraught with problems of their own making. We were delighted with our rooms and location and would love to return; we remain mystified by their angst-ridden approach to running what appears to be a successful and popular hotel.

Hotel itself is dated, but otherwise clean. Apartment was spacious and also clean and well maintained. Good air conditioning in bedroom and living/kitchen area. Fridge/microwave clean. Good balcony space. Hotel is surrounded by trees, makes for a beautiful setting however doesn’t let much light in. The pool is a decent size, there are lots of beds around the pool, but with the ratio of guests, can be sparse. The pool is also surrounded by trees, more shade than sun and the trees shed over the pool and loungers. Pool area generally clean. There is no lifeguard by the pool in the whole time we have been here. Entertainment unfortunately not catered for British holidaymakers. All entertainment is in French which included The activities by the pool. Pool bar we found to be on the moor expensive side. Supermarket on site and others are located in close proximity. All provide fresh bread and pastries. The beach is a 5 minute walk downhill, which is large. There are umbrellas and loungers which you can pay for daily. Sea is beautiful, perfect for children’s paddling and you can go far out and the water remains shallow. Loval restaurants are few. There are approx 5 with 15 min walk. BJ cater for British and provided entertainment very child friendly. Decent food at los porches, but get in early as they get busy. Mahon town approx 25min bus trip. Which collects directly from apartments. Fornells 15 bus ride, has a harbour, shops and restaurants
