Aloft Memphis Downtown

Loved my stay at Aloft! The hotel has a modern, vibrant vibe with a social lobby, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. Great amenities like USB ports, a walk-in shower, and a lively bar with live music made the stay extra enjoyable. The location is perfect—close to everything. Highly recommend! The W XYZ Bar downstairs had great music and cocktails, and I appreciated the live music on one of the evenings I stayed. There’s also a grab-and-go area with snacks and coffee, which was super convenient.

The hotel seems to be nice and my husband always stay at this hotel. I had 2 rms for 2 nights each. I had 1 issue with the toilet being nasty with blood and urine left on the inside toilet seat. I did tell the front desk upon departure bc we used the bathroom in the other rm. I would have showed him the pictures but he did not have any concern what my issue was once he saw my rate. I was told you have a discounted rate and they will let house keeping know. The point is I paid to stay and you could at least apologize for the issue. It doesn’t matter if the rm was free I’m still a guest in your facility. How much I paid to stay there should not have anything to do with the bathroom being nasty. In others word discounted rms get a discount so put them in the not so clean rm. I would normally tip the housekeeper and I never get service bc I clean up behind myself so I don’t get service. I will never stay here again I only stayed bc my husband always stay here for work and he’s and Titanium member. I’m sure if I was staying there under him the frontdesk would have not looked at my stay as a discounted stay.. Treat all guest as a guest just bc it’s discounted doesn’t mean we can’t afford it. Once the frontdesk started calling me the day of my arrival I should have cancelled then they wouldn’t let me put my bonvoy card on file over the phone to change the form of pay bc the card on file was not the correct card I wanted to use. On top of rushing me to get there for check in after I said I was on the way we got stuck in traffic to be put in 1 nasty rm. The 2bdrm was clean is all I can say.

Clean place, friendly people. I don’t love the neighborhood for walking around in because there are a lot of homeless around. They allow only 1 well behaved pet for a nightly pet fee. Valet parking but also street parking, I recommend valet because we saw two car windows smashed in on the block you park on. Hotel manager recommended valet so the car is safe in a locked parking deck.
