What a brilliant place to escape to this beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Only 1.5 miles from Melrose town centre which is a lovely friendly town with nice places to eat and drink . Must mention the award winning butcher & fishmonger and artisan bread shop too. Stables cottage is so warm and cosy just the place to relax in peace and tranquility and luxury.

Wow! What an absolutely stunning cottage and grounds. We have had the best short break with our 2 doodles and we cannot thank our hosts enough for a beautiful retreat into the country (sorely needed). We stayed in the stables and the cottage is immaculate with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back 🫶

We managed to get booked with Claire and Donald for two nights. Claire was very helpful with any questions we had. Cottage was perfect and she had thought of everything. Very tidy and they left a little basket of goodies too! Met Claire and Donald the next morning and they’re just lovely. Pet friendly and Max loved the stay too. We will be back! X

We stayed in the Stables Cottage, having stayed in the main house as B&B guests earlier in the year. Claire and Donald are perfect hosts; welcoming, helpful but leaving guests with their privacy. Stables Cottage has everything you need for a stay; well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a sitting room to lounge in. A private view over the rear lawns and seats outside that catches the sun all afternoon. We've promised ourselves that we'll go back.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend my Goddaughters wedding at Kippilaw House. Staying in the Stables Cottage was an oasis of calm with fantastic accommodation and very friendly and helpful hosts in Claire and Duncan. We had a welcome basket of wine, crisps, chocolate and biscuits which was very thoughtful and unexpected. We hope to return and stay for longer to explore the area . We would recommend it without hesitation.

Well this is certainly 5⭐plus. Accomodation so comfortable quiet and has everything you could need. The hosts Claire & Donald made us so welcome and looked after us like royalty, they have just thought of everything. Breakfast was amazing that home made granola, followed by the best smoked salmon. What a place to spend our wedding Anniversary just perfect Thank You.
