While excellent in many respects, there were a few aspects that made this a tiring stay. The apartment does have a very well equipped kitchen area, plenty of chairs for a dining table and small but functional well supplied bathrooms. Two small sofas complete a tight living space. It was very clean. Location is fantastic, close to Melbourne Central, and good pubs and cafes. We went as a group of four male friends. The two who had the main bedrooms were comfortable, but the last two were confined to a tiny room, set up with two single beds with barely enough space to walk between them. It was like sleeping in a cupboard. There was nowhere to put our cases and other gear which had to be put in the living area. I found the apartment, stuffy and airless and slept badly even though the bed was comfortable. A fob is needed to access the building and the lifts with a key for the apartment. With only one set supplied, this would have been very inconvenient for a longer stay for the four of us (we were only there for two nights.) At busy times, there can be a decent wait for a lift. There is a camera in the hallway of the apartment, which appears to turn on quite often, in particular, taking flash photographs if you walk past it for a toilet visit during the night. I have never come across this before, and consider it an invasion of privacy. Is it legal? This is not mentioned in the description. Unfortunately, it is very difficult (and expensive) to find single accommodation for a group of old mates like us in Melbourne.
