Thought we would try as being promoted by new signage and local. Last minute booked online, not busy. Friendly welcome. Prompt service. Food was ok, I had the chicken curry, my partner had steak, not overly expensive. Glass of wine £15.50 which I thought was expensive. They also add 12% service charge. Venue is tired. Average, sorry probably won’t revisit.

We visited Sheene Mill as it has recently re-opened the restaurant and bar (so now not just a specific wedding venue). We were a party of 12. The food was excellent and a great menu. The service was brilliant - very friendly and so accommodating. A beautiful setting....so special. We had such a fun evening with our friends. Would definitely recommend and will visit again soon.

Our Afternoon Tea experience was disappointing. We were served a pot of tea, which once it had brewed was cold and had to be replaced, but there was no top up after that. The bread for the sandwiches was a little dry, but the mini quiche, sausage roll and sweet treats were lovely. We were served with large pots of jam and whipped (not clotted) cream with 2 very small scones which were rock hard. These were replaced but were more like biscuits than scones. The final disappointment was being asked to pay an extra £2 per person as the price had gone up since we had bought our voucher. We will not be going back and would advise others to look elsewhere.

We held our wedding reception at Sheene Mill, and although we visited many different places to find the right venue we didn’t find the same feel as we did at Sheene Mill, the venue gave us a feel from the start and was great- cosy, cute and intimate. We were lucky with the weather which meant our guests had full access to outside, a calm and peaceful environment but absolutely beautiful. It was super helpful to have the space for children too! I would recommend Sheen Mill again to others and already have for a birthday celebration! I wish we could do it all over again!

The venue itself is nice but the hotel Rooms are disgustingly filthy and tired. From blood stains on the bed sheets to no hand soap in the bathrooms, dirty windows with mould on the panes and filth under the beds The amount they charge for rooms is criminal given how dirty they are! YUCK dirty towels also with stains on 😩

Great afternoon tea today to celebrate a friend’s 60th birthday. Lovely tea selection, super savoury warm pastries and cakes/ scones. All delicious. The service and attentiveness of the staff was superb. A special surprise treat for the birthday was presented too, really special. Extremely good value for money too. We’ll be back!
