Aegean Suites, Santikos Collection

Me and my partner had the most incredible stay at the aegean and will 100% be returning. The cleanliness, staff, views, food/drinks and everything about it were flawless. Special mention to these lovely people who made our stay so special, Ludojiv, Niki, Dimities, Mary and Sotiris (who makes a killer old fashioned). Thank you so much for an amazing stay. Great week in Skiathos and the Aegean was ideal for our stay. Really pleased with location - the beach bars and restaurants were fab and we wouldn’t have discovered if staying in town. Whilst highlighted a 20 min walk into town - I would get a taxi €10 or the bus! Rooms are slightly dated - take your own hair dryer - but view was stunning and worth the steps to the 2nd floor. If you aren’t the fittest would make sure you are on the lower floor as it’s a lot of steps! Didn’t really struggle for a sun bed and bar staff very friendly. Dimitiros smashs breakfast and remember our individual quirks (plus was very polite when I smashed a plate!!) Gluten free options available but bread wasn’t the best. Timothoe on reception gave us some brilliant local restaurant tips! Ludojiv the porter - what a hero getting our bags up and down to our room - thank you! Highly recommend visiting the sister hotel Princess - shuttle available - lovely beach and nice little village to visit - thank you to the Aegean hotel manager for the lift!

Stunning hotel with amazing staff. Great rooms and breakfast was lovely. Close to Skiathos town , a beach and various great restaurants. I have never been to a hotel where we were made so welcome and looked after, nothing was too much trouble. As others have said there are quite a few steps we were on the top floor can be tough going in the heat but so worth it for the views. We had an evening meal at the hotel a couple of times and it was very nice and reasonably priced. Thank you to Demitris, Niki, Sotiris and the rest of the team .

Excellent stay at this hotel. Staff are very good and go out of their way to help. Great breakfast and full marks to Demetrie who runs the breakfast like clockwork. If you’re looking for a very quiet relaxing break you’ll get it here. It’s a 20 minute walk into the centre of Skiathos where you’ll find many watering holes and little places to eat.

This is really lovely boutique hotel in a good location close to Skiathos Town. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room we had was just lovely, plenty of space, comfy bed, great aircon. We were B&B, the breakfasts were very good with a good choice considering the small size of the hotel. We had lunch a couple of times in the bar which was also a reasonable price and very good. We stayed on the 3rd (the highest) level and despite being in our 50s/60s and reasonably fit must admit that the 150+ steps from street level were a challenge at times (don't forget anything and have to go back !!), especially in the heat of the day so if you are not that fit, request a lower level. The upside of the 3rd level is that it is very peaceful away from the road and the views are lovely from the room balcony. Some other comments: 1. There is a couple of supermarkets less than 5 minutes walk away 2. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and there is a lovely beach bar there for lunch (Swell) 3. It is a 15-20 minute walk into Skiathos Town but its along a busy road often without a footpath. We chose to use the bus instead with bus stop 5 a few minutes walk away 4. The buses are fantastic, about every 10 minutes until after midnight, only 2 euros each one way (compared to 10 if you take a taxi) 5. Visit the sister hotel, Skiathos Princess, it too is lovely and has a really nice beach, private sun loungers and lovely beach bar. The hotel will provide a shuttle to get you there Although we gave 5 stars there are a few possible improvements: 1. Fix the fan in the breakfast area as even at 8am its hot ! 2. Not enough shade by the pool bar, a few extra umbrellas would help 3. No shade at lunchtime on the outside tables by the restaurant, if there was these tables would get used 4. There are a limited number of sunbeds by the pool (a lovely pool !), we always managed to get one but I imagine this could be a problem at times, but not a lot the hotel can do with the limited space around the pool. At least one pair of sunbeds had no umbrella which seemed a missed opportunity as these were rarely used Overall we would thoroughly recommend Aegean Suites.

The hotel is in a excellent location within walking distance of Skiathos town and some great restaurants nearby. We were only in Skiathos for a short time but loved the island – beautiful scenery, friendly people and delicious food. We could not have asked for a better hotel with a very comfortable room and good facilities including a great pool area and bar. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice including fresh fruit, eggs cooked anyway you liked and pancakes, they also provided gluten free bread and pastries which was appreciated. What made the hotel and our holiday extra special was the staff who were all very friendly and helpful – we are looking forward to returning to Skiathos for a longer break and won’t hesitate to return to the Aegean Suites hotel.
