Premier Inn Chatham/Gillingham (Vic Pier)

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. There was always plenty of parking with plenty of signage to be in the correct area of the car park, although I knew to be aware of this from reading reviews before our stay. The location worked well for us both for driving on days out as well as walking to local places like the pub and supermarket. The best part of our stay was the restuarant for breakfast. We did try it at other mealtimes. For breakfast, there was plenty of food available and is much easier when you can help yourself. There was some scaffolding up during our time of staying but we were the other end of the hotel and didn't hear or see any work going on.

Always a good stay at this Hotel. Friendly helpful staff, and the food is of a really good quality… I’ve stayed here a few times over the years, and find the service very good.

Popped in for Breakfast, fantastic as usual, great to see Les back, food was excellent as always. Staff very helpful and friendly, Les always remembers us. Great place to take the family for breakfast, even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

Premier Inns are my preferred budget chain and this one is no exception. Friendly and helpful staff, well set up rooms and decent food. The only reason for four not five stars this time is that the air conditioning control panel stopped working on our final night, and after a busy weekend the restaurant ran out of several basic items for breakfast.

The staff on duty were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The car park is a little confusing to make sure that you don't park in the residents area and pay a hefty fine, but the staff sorted it out. My room was freezing - apparently the cleaners had turned the heating off, but again staff sorted that out by reprogramming it from their office. There was only a shower in my room - no bath. The room was quiet and I had a good night's sleep. I would stay there again.

Stayed one night with sisters for a catch up (three double rooms). Maybe one of the best Premier Inn stays so far. Staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. Hotel if very clean and comfortable. Great beds, linen and towels. Basic but perfectly adequate. Meal deal with dinner and breakfast is excellent, good value and quality, service is very good as well. Not much around the hotel, bit isolated but taxi into shopping centre in Chatham was reliable and reasonable (£9 each way). Hotel was amazingly quiet and peaceful. One person in our group only drinks from the bar with orange mixer which was not available so Amy popped to the shop for her so we could sit in the bar, great service.

Fantastic room for disabled guest, disabled bathroom a real boon. Wonderful bed, firm but not hard, good pillows. Really clean room. Fabulous staff, couldn’t do enough for us. Good food, but pub grub but plentiful and tasty.

We've stayed at this branch several times now and it's always a pleasure. Staff are great, service is brilliant and nothing is a bother. Abbie on the night shift deserves a special mention as she was incredibly helpful, polite and professional.

We (my husband and I) stayed at the Premier Inn (Gillingham / Chatham) for two nights when we visited the historic Chatham Dockyard. We chose it because of its location and because you generally know what to expect when you stay in a Premier Inn. My first impression of the hotel was not great, mostly because building work of some kind was happening on part of the building with scaffolding erected. However, once inside the hotel, things were much better and absolutely satisfactory. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Every member of staff I met was friendly, helpful and polite. The food was also pretty decent. We had an evening meal one night and breakfast one morning. Both were very good.
