La Vista de Medina Studios & Apartments

The views from the terrace were outstanding and it was really nice that we had the place all to ourselves. The actual room was just okay and quite cold and damp when we were there. I bet this is amazing in June, less so in March. The village is quaint and lovely and it's a beautiful walk up to the ruins and around on a nature path. I would definitely go back again.

Apartment was quiet, but as other other apartments share the same garden and entrance, it can be a little noisy. There are no notices to say to be quiet after a certain time Apartments face south, and there is a magnificent view of Cádiz province and the salt flats. Garden was secluded and mostly sheltered from the breezes, evident when staying high up in the village. There are 2 small pools. We were staying in October and on arrival discovered a notice stating they could not be used because of the time of year. LA VISTA DE MEDINA REPORTS THAT: WE HAVE ENDED THE POOL SEASON, SO THEY WILL BE OPEN TO OUR PUBLIC AGAIN FROM 2024. For convenience beach towels, iron and ironing board are provided. Availability of hair conditioner was appreciated although the bottles for hair cleaning products weren't marked and it was a guess. We couldn't rely on the WiFi which gave up the day before we left. Unsure if it was the router for the apartment or the entire village. Private car parking is available free of charge only 2 minutes walk from the apartment, and along a very narrow street in the old part of the village. Unless you have a small car or are very confident driving in tight spaces, I suggest you use the public carpark, about 4 minutes walk away at Puerta del Sol which is easily accessible and will not damage your vehicle. Wouldn't recommend for motorcyclists unless you are confident on cobble stones and steep inclines.

Beautiful views overlooking Medina Sidonia. We stayed in a lovely clean studio, very comfortable, lovely pool area, such pretty plants and flowers, you can lie on the extremely comfortable sun loungers, and have a dip in the cool pool, watch out for the figs falling from the trees! Its a bit steep around the area, so be prepared to walk up and down cobbled streets, its a lovely town though and plenty of places to eat, the Plaza de Espana is a nice place to sit.

I'd visited the restaurant back in 2010 and it stuck in my mind - great food, great view, and at sunset it's spectacular. Fast forward a dozen years and I was riding round southern spain on a motorbike in company with an old friend. I'd vaguely had in mind the possibility of revisiting La Vista de Medina, but hadn't checked to see if it was still open, under different management, or perhaps no longer around? Fortunately it is still thriving! The owner is a British ex-pat, very friendly, and absolutely willing to go the extra mile. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to our lovely apartment, having reserved a balcony spot at the co-located restaurant for later. The apartment was very nicely furnished and well equipped and had access to a terrace and pool. A bit chilly in early October but that's to be expected for the time of year - we jumped in any way. After a very relaxing afternoon and early evening spent exploring the immediate vicinity (lovely church and a ruined castle), we wandered upstairs a little before sunset for an evening meal. The sunset view is simply superb, the food and service was excellent, and the cocktails afterwards very welcome! All-in-all, a lovely visit, even better than i'd hoped/remembered. My only regret is that I wasn't able to stay a little longer. I plan to take my wife for a long weekend next year - can't recommend it highly enough :-D

En general muy recomendable ideal para desconectar y el pueblo precioso, como sugerencia tendrían que poner servilletas o papel de cocina y algún producto de cortesía como azúcar, sal. Actualmente el restaurante se encuentra cerrado y a nuestra llegada no había personal en recepción.

Sonaba la bomba de calor. Muy buenas vistas y ubicación excelente.

Nuestra estancia ha sido muy tranquila y todo muy fácil. Nos dijeron como llegar de manera autónoma y el apartamento está muy bien, todo muy limpio y bonito y con lo mínimo para estar a gusto y a la perfección. Nosotros solo estuvimos una noche y el tiempo no favoreció mucho, pero seguro que en verano es un sitio de locura para estar unos días. Está al lado del castillo.
