Denali Rainbow Village RV Park and Motel

We stayed 3 nights. No one at front desk at check in, they knew we were coming. I asked front desk a few questions on final day about if there was a place to store our luggage in the park before we took the train, she said no, correct answer is yes at the visitors center $1 per hour. I asked which bus stop do we get off for train, she said bus stop in park, wrong correct answer visitors center. Not sure how after 5 months she was this clueless. On Our final night we were in room C4 next to employees and hotel laundry room, they washed their boots and washers ran for hours, no sleep for us. On day of check out, which was also their last day of the season they shut the tv service off. Check out was surpose to be 11 but upon check in we were told 10 am. Bed was worn out. We paid $250 a night for this. A couple of good things if you go before the end of season there is a boardwalk of stores and probably one of the only places that has a fridge and microwave in the room.

The room was clean. Loved the forest wood theme. The wi-fi worked and frig and microwave nice. Only issue was the fan on the wall, the cord didn’t reach the plug. But there was another fan to use. Overall would stay here again.

We stayed here with my family of 5. The property was very spacious and staff was friendly. It is a little older, but it is close to some dining and shopping options. Very close to the entrance of Denali. We had a great stay here.

Suddenly, we were without a place to sleep on Labor Day weekend. Our campsite in Riley Creek was canceled due to bear activity, so we started a frantic search for accommodation near the park entrance. Rainbow had one room that we nabbed immediately, without regard to the amenities. What a pleasant surprise! Two friendly, helpful and humorous women worked the desk when we arrived. The room was clean, spacious, homey and well-appointed. A Princess shuttle stop is right across the Parks Highway, and it's free for anyone going to or from the National Park. We're already planning our next trip to Denali, with Rainbow at the top of our list of places to stay.

The rooms were very nice. The property and the location is very safe. Very near to the park entrance. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. I will certainly recommed this property for your stay at Denali national park.

The hotel is a gloried motel 6 and the 2nd night there was so much noise and traffic on the road it was hard to sleep. No elevator so we being both 67 had to lug our suitcases up all the stairs 10 or 12 to the 2nd floor. No one offered to help us out. Plus when we were to be picked up the guy had someone else take us and this other guy forgot us and was helping other people at another location while we sat in the van. It took us over 1 1/4 to get to the hotel--normally a 10 minute ride.

Very good and spacious room. Very friendly staffs. Right behind all the shopping and restaurants. The walls are a bit thin tho. But it's usually pretty quiet outside, unless some other guests are loud.

We had to choose this as the only option after we had an issue with our booking at another area hotel. Honestly though, it worked out way better! I was nervous after looking at reviews but realized that most are for the campground facilities NOT for the rooms they rent! I felt better when Richard the driver picked us up from the train and he was incredibly helpful in getting our bags from their predetermined destination of the other hotel. He really went above and beyond and also gave us excellent recommendations on trails to hike given our timeframe and abilities, where the best food and shopping were, and where to grab all the free busses! The office staff are direct, no-nonsense ladies but friendly and helpful to us finding all the things we needed! They had lots of maps, knowledge and other resources about the park they offered us without asking! This place is the most centrally located and it is a minute or two walk to all the shops, food, and transportation in the area. Our room wasn’t fancy but it was spacious and was clean and warm with a fridge, microwave, and a HOT shower which was all we needed after hiking for 8 hours!

Pros: Located very close to Denali National Park Entrance Cons: Terrible room. Terrible service. High prices. There are other places (across the street) that are much nicer, provide better service and charge less.
