Ibis Budget Montpellier Aeroport Parc des Expos

As good as it gets for such a budget!

Nowhere to work in the room. The restaurant is all based on what a microwave or deep fryer can offer. Good WiFi. Good location for the airport. There are two sections. Budget and styles. I guess the experience depends on which bit you book.the restaurant is the same for both.

Perfect to stay if you have an early flight next morning. 10 minutes walk from the terminal, shuttle every 60 minutes. Breakfast started from 6.30. We were satisfied with the breakfast. The room was small and the bed was good. Good value for money .

As I was trying to make reservation with this Ibis Budget Montpellier Aeroport Parc des Expos, based in Monteppelier, France, a number in a USA would be available for making reservation. I've talked to the attendant that at first showed to be very respectful and calm. After I've given all my bank and billing address details and paid for the first of the two rooms, the attendant asks me to wait for 1 or 2 minutes, when we resumed the conversation, he said the price for the second room had increase $5 and that this was the hotel normal price policy . After arriving at the hotel, I ask at the reception about this price policy fluctuation as they refuted that possibility, since the price change may occur daily, but not anytime of the day (especially since you already started your reservation, since the client cannot have access to the price table). When I received the receipt, first, my billing address is was located in the US and live in the UK, so is my address (although I've giving the attendant all my personal information). The price for the service was not clear ahead and I ended up pay an abusive amount of U$27.76 of U$87.24, while the actual price for the room was only U$59,24. All in all, I felt cheated, the food was not looking fresh and burnt for the price of €41. Besides that, I've tried to contact the hotel and the agency that made the reservation and simply I couldn't get through to any of them. Quite frustrating. No plans to use their service in the future.

Website indicates shuttle service, but when we arrived it turned out it was not laid on by the hotel, but was general and involved walking down the street to the shuttle stand. NOT ON!! If you do not have a hotel shuttle, say so, and indicate to guests on your website that the shuttle is from the street, not from the front of the hotel. Absolutely false advertising!!

New and impeccably clean!!

The late flight from Paris lands at 22.45, so a night at the airport seemed like a good option. The Ibis hotel is a ten minute walk from the arrivals terminal; I walk fast especially on a chilly March evening after being cramped in airbuses! Even at the late hour the check in was efficient and I was asleep in a comfy bed by 23.30. The hotel is very clean, very modern and very functional. Breakfast served from 06.30 was fine too, basic items, with good coffee and fresh fruit. There's a pool and a restaurant at the hotel, but my guess is most guests don't particularly want to linger on the edge of an airport and close to a busy main road...

At Ibis Budget Montpellier Aeroport Parc des Expos I stayed for two nights. The room was new and modern but the gangway between bed, wall and rack only 30cm wide! Also the breakfast, posted on the website as well as the personnel announced at check-in-in to be served until 10:00a.m., was only served until 9.30a.m. Besides, especially during COVID-19-pandemic, it is very unhygienic that there are not any plates but only trays where the guest have to put directly his/her baguette, croissant etc. Also some cups could not be used, although standing at the clean dishes, as they had coffee grounds inside - very disgusting! It is also vexing that there is no reception desk at entrance but the personnel is sitting in guest lounge with laptops (never saw this before, also not at an Ibis Budget Hotel). Free parking is available in front of the hotel. All in all I cannot recommend this hotel as the management of this hotel is not good!
