Summerfield Botanical Garden & Exclusive Resort

Score 3/10 We booked a luxury suite months in advance of our arrival. Apparently they were no longer available so they downgraded us to the Peace Pod. Which is unfortunate because none of this was communicated up front and not even when we arrived. Only after we saw the room we knew something had gone wrong in our reservation. The Peace Pod is clean and new but basically a small (cold) Ikea container outside the garden, so not exactly on par with the stylish suites in the garden (see photos) When asking the receptionist she said sorry (with friendly words but less friendly non-verbal communication) but there is nothing she could do because they were fully booked. However, on *********** there were multiple larger rooms available. So they chose to downgrade rather than upgrade and not communicate it. So the overall experience was quite poor. We also had some power outages that were limited to the Peace Pod room. The garden itself is beautiful though. Clearly a lot of work goes into maintaining it and the result is a beautiful garden rich with many species of birds. The restaurant has a bit of an odd style and seatings (low tables) but the food is ok to good overall and the staff is very friendly. The pool bar has the same odd style, and has no audio system (i.e. music), no draft beer, no toilet and is a bit more expensive that most places in Eswatini&SA

This hotel is lovely but the receptionist really spoils the whole experience. Don't think I have ever meet someone in the hotel business that is so rude. We managed to avoid her for the rest of the stay which improved our view of the hotel. Set in stunning gardens the hotel is made up of individual bungalows which are of a very high standard. Amazing breakfast is included with free parking and reasonable wifi

This is the best place I have ever stayed in Eswatini. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The service is first class. Everywhere you look is photogenic because of the awesome gardens. The rooms were clean and everything I needed was there. As a coffee person, the only improvement is in the cappuccino/latte presentation.

This hotel deserves to be in the list of the most charming hotels in Africa. It has everything to relax and forget about busy live outside. Spacious, luxury chalés are located in a carefully arranged garden, stuff are friendly and well trained. Special gratitude to Linda for welcoming us in a most spectacular way!

Lovely place to stay with beautiful gardens and surrounding. We did feel that the housekeeping was not the best, as one of the curtains was missing a hanging hook, there was no hand towel and the outside table was so dirty, full of glass marks etc Restaurant was great as was breakfast, will definitely stay again. If there was an issue its the long walk to your room with your suitcases, although we were helped

Absolutely flawless! We (my Wife, Daughter and I) had such a great 4 day stay at the resort. We loved the Executive suite, it felt as comfortable as a house. We reported poor contrast on the television and it was replaced the very next morning. The service was excellent in all departments and lastly, the beauty and meal times are already missed! Thank you so much for a memorable experience.

Wish we knew how fantastic this place was. We would have stayed longer! The room was extremely comfortable with everything needed. The gardens are amazing and the restaurants have great places to eat and enjoy the views.

This hotel is a real oasis! The huge, landscaped and well-groomed territory gives you peace of mind and aesthetic pleasure. Hotel rooms are private houses, which fully ensures security and privacy. The restaurant has a magnificent luxurious interior, service is at a good level. I remember this hotel with warmth in my heart

Fantastic place with a friendly atmosphere. This place really is the place to visit for a dinner or just relax for a day. Nice and relaxed, just what you need a warm or hectic day. There is cabins/rooms to rent if you want to o stay, better book high season.
