酒店真的是在一個洞裏，一切設施都非常簡陋老舊。而且這個就是以前的貧民窟改造的，位於馬特拉最西邊背靠太陽的位置，所以永遠曬不到陽光，很大的潮氣和黴味。我之前也是覺得可以體驗一晚在洞裏，但是真的對健康很不好。導遊跟我們説以前住這裏的小孩2歲前死亡率80%，所以才被政府趕走不讓住的。你可想而知花7千多塊體驗以前窮苦人的生活環境不是****是啥。馬特拉很多餐廳都是在洞穴裏，所以真沒必要吸着黴氣損壞健康體驗，山上很多很新的酒店價格還便宜很多很多。其中一家五星級酒店都比這便宜，攜程真的是冤大頭，我發現真的都是本地人不會住的地方，攜程在推！

很喜歡，服務好，熱情。不過這樣的特色酒店感覺入住一晚體驗下就可以

酒店服務特別好，每個人都很熱情，環境特別棒，風景也好，我們去了加錢升級了最大的一間洞穴房間，就像住在大自然一樣，很暖和有地暖，房間超級安靜，洗澡水很大很燙，餐廳很漂亮，還有茶喝,是我們睡的最好的一晚。

無與倫比的美妙酒店，我們住了兩晚。壯美的景色令人難忘。

到前台沒有查到我們的房間，但是有訂單，所以可能是給我們升級房型了，面積大了，但是在地下洞穴，很有特色的洞穴房間，但是我覺得住一晚就行了，有潮氣味，而且房間裏很暗，連續住會難受，早餐廳是17世紀教堂改造的，很有特色，酒店外風景很棒，但我們住的床上面的牆往下掉土渣子，弄了一床，尤其是第二天早上之後，很感謝攜程，幫聯繫酒店，給我們退了幾百元作為補償，但是酒店的特色還是值得住一晚體驗一下的。

超級獨特的酒店！！！馬泰拉本身也非常美，尤其是夜晚！酒店服務非常好，早餐廳也很美，旁邊就是達利的藝術館，各方面都很方便。

Wow. I first saw this hotel on a Travel programme years ago and had wanted to stay here ever since. We were luky enough to stay at this amazing cave hotel in Matera for our 25th Wedding anniversary, and it was more than I ever dreamed of. We stayed in Cave 10 situated at the end so you had a private little outside space. There is a small reading nook, large bedroom, separate shower/wc cave and a large separate cave housing the bath all interconnecting. It was the Cave i really hoped for, and it didn't disappoint. Lots of room and filled with lit candles, it was a dream. The breakfast room is a former church carved into the cave, and the breakfast was amazing. The service was top notch and nothing was ever too much for them. If you are looking for somewhere special to stay in Matera, this is it!!

This hotel is gorgeous and perfect in every respect - the rooms are amazing and one-of-a-kind. Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and the staff are absolutely amazing. We have stayed at a number of luxury hotels around the world and the service at Sextantio was the best we have ever had.

Such a unique and fascinating property. The bedrooms are converted cave dwellings. The candles all around the cave was so romantic and pretty. The huge bathtub and comfortable beds made this experience quite luxurious. The breakfast in the cave restaurant was absolutely wonderful and the views over the ravine are incredible

Wow - we've never slept in a cave before and it was absolutely amazing. The history, the way that they've been restored, everything. The hotel staff were so friendly. The breakfast was AMAZING. The location was so central for the Sassy and exploring the old part of Matera. The bath was absolutely so relaxing in the early afternoon before heading out for apéritif. The cave was perfect to combat the heat in the early afternoon and the sunrise was beautiful. It shines bright, so make sure you close the curtains / shutters / blinds well. The staff organised everything that we wanted to do - The James Bond walking tour, dinner. Nothing was too much trouble.

Beautiful hotel with a rustic charm. They upgraded us to a superior room where the toilets have doors. The hotel is very tastefully done and conveniently located. We enjoyed the breakfast spread and the outside area for an aperitif in the evening where we ended up chatting with other guests.

We have travel to many amazing places and have stayed in some of the top hotels in the world but this was an experience! Probably one of the most romantic places in the world we have been to. The service was excellent and the rooms were unique to say the least.

This hotel is beyond amazing; words fail to capture its uniqueness. The staff's dedication to preserving and enhancing its original charm is truly remarkable (thank you, Pietro and Emilia). Our stay in the Palazzo was simply breathtaking – the views, the design, and every detail exceeded our expectations. The staff, incredibly passionate and hospitable, made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was outstanding, with carefully selected ingredients enhancing the experience. The apertivo in the courtyard was a highlight; the wine, cheeses, and meats, along with the friendly staff (shoutout to Nunzia!), created a welcoming atmosphere. Airport transfer was arranged effortlessly, adding to the convenience. Even our children felt right at home. Simply put, this hotel offers an unforgettable experience. Our children are older, so if you have a stroller it could be a little problematic, but that is all of Matera, there are many stairs.

Fantastic in every way. Matera is a magical place and this hotel captures it all. Quick pros and cons- Pros; 5 star luxury accommodations and service. Staff were friendly, responsive and thorough. Comfortable, well appointed for being a cave. Cons; floor was a bit slippery when wet. We can’t say enough about this amazing place. I would be skeptical reading this review if I didn’t write it, it’s that good. The workmanship that went into creating the rooms is stunning. Th level of service is exceptional and the hospitality of breakfast and aperitifs is fabulous.
