Needles Lodge

This is a wonderful lodge with excellent service. It was a very comfortable stay, where everything was provided. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious, all our taste preferences were taken into account. It felt like we came to visit friends, the staff creates such a cozy atmosphere! I also really liked that giraffes, warthogs, antelopes and other cute animals roam freely around the lodge. In addition to accommodation, we took morning, evening and full-day game drives, which the lodge helped us organize. Everything was great, we met all the African Five. Also a must-see is the Panorama route, which is conducted by a very nice guide. We would really like to come back here again. Warm wishes to the whole team from Russia-Uzbekistan

I’ve heard people talk about Safari Magic... now I know what they mean. In August 2024 I stayed at Needles Lodge on what was the most incredible 10 day yoga safari retreat. Denis, Gail, Lyn, Phil and the welcoming team at Needles hosted our group, alongside Neil Urry of @soulsanctuarysafaris, our yoga, meditation and safari guide. Neil and the Needles team have created a truly magical experience, infused by their own passion and love for South Africa, and its unbelievable wildlife, entwined with the nurturing practise of yoga. Kruger Park is breathtaking. Experiencing the full day and sunset safari game drives, and guided walks, with their experienced and knowledgeable crew, made every experience unique and captivating. Marloth Park itself offers a haven of wildlife and birdlife, a sanctuary right at your footstep. We would wake up to the sounds of the animals and be greeted by Zebra, Giraffe’s, Kudu and many others magnificent creatures throughout the day, it was delightful, you never quite knew what beauty would present itself next. The Needles team made us feel so welcome, not to forget the loveable masterchef’s who would break into song at any given moment. We were constantly spoilt by their effortless hospitality, sharing stories of the day's sightings at a beautifully appointed dinner table by candlelight, on the deck, under the stars, with a menu that was a foodie’s delight constantly changing and catering for everyone’s tastes. The rooms were well appointed also with gorgeous views, we had everything we needed and would want on a safari adventure. If you are seeking a totally immersive experience in nature where you forget about everything aside from what’s right in front of you - this is for you, a well thought out and honed experience with a perfect blend of activities and down time, tranquil and peaceful, exhilarating and inspiring. True Safari Magic. Heartfelt thanks to Neil and the Needles crew, for giving us this unforgettable escape in mother nature, where many new friendships, and memories, were made to cherish. I know I'm not alone, when I say, I hope to be back one day.

I mean the giraffes strolling up the driveway on our way in was a pretty spectacular start to the trip! The lodge was even more amazing than I hoped for. My room was beautiful and clean and fresh. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Every day was an absolute joy. We were literally surrounded by breathtaking nature while we ate, did yoga, swam and relaxed in a picturesque lodge. Special thanks to Denis, Lyn and Phil but everyone was wonderful. Phil made the best gin & tonics ever. Everyone enjoyed the food and there was plenty of it. Denis and Lyn took us on a tour of surrounding natural parks with time for souvenir shopping too. Also we enjoyed several full day game drives, night safaris and early morning walks in Kruger. I would absolutely highly recommend Needles lodge and I hope to come back again in the not too distant future.

We had such a lovely stay in Needles Lodge! The rooms, the foods, the wildlife and the staff were unforgettable! We arrived and enjoyed a GT on the deck for refreshing in the room (bath!). Then we had a joint dinner with an excellent choice of wines and nice company. We enjoyed a great night sleep and a full day safari with guide Bertie (booked via Needles) in the Kruger Park. We saw a lot of wild animals. Oh yeah, at breakfast we had the Giraffes passing the lodge. Amazing place to stay!! PS: Thank you Lyn for staying up late for us to watch the Dutch Soccer team!

Had the adventure of a lifetime on a Safari Yoga Retreat staying at Needles lodge in Marloth Park. Yoga on the deck surrounded by zebra and kudu is just an incredible experience. The lodge's accommodation is clean and comfortable and the freshly prepared meals are out of this world! All the staff are so happy, friendly and attentive. Denis is a wonderful knowledgeable host and Lyn and Philip ensure everyone is well catered for and everyone's needs are met. Absolutely recommend Needles Lodge - perfect holiday. Thank you Needles.

We had the best time at Needles! The lodge is a small paradise in Marloth Park, Denis, Lyn and Phil go out of their ways to make you feel comfortable and explain everything that surrounds you…every animal, insect, noise has a story! The lodge is clean, the food exceptional and they catered to our dietary requirements perfectly. Absolutely recommended!
