I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the place was. Staff were abrupt, but efficient.

Great pension in the old town. Easy to find and short walk from free parking. Lots if restaurants very close and only 10 mins walk to the beach and paseo. Clean and quiet location with shared spaces and bathrooms. On 3 floors so some people may find top floor a long way up, no lift.

Having read good reviews about the place I booked a one night stay but was utterly disappointed. While I didn't mind sharing a bathroom the damage deposit was ridiculous as the place is really run down and could do with a makeover. Rooms thin walls and you could hear everything. Place 750 m away had charged me only 8 EUR more and was a palace with own bathroom and modern although small room.

Great location and very efficient pension. Very helpful check in desk. Tip - find out where the car park is before you arrive. So many intersting places to walk and eat both in the old town and in the newer areas.

Everything was quite enough. Room was small - a bit too small for 4 person - with one bunk bed, but it wasn't a big problem, cause we were in three persons and spend all evening on the city. Building is nice and open, with small terrace on every floor, and public kitchen under open sky - which is great. And service and receptionist were very kind and helpful. I can recommend this place for travelers.

Clean, bed is comfy, well located and right in the old town. Has balcony but closed after 10pm. Toilet and shower are communal so going for a show in winter could be challenging. Something I don't understand is they would take your card details otherwise 50 euro in case you violate house rules. I have never come across taking card details or that much amount of money in any other hotel/hostel/BnB for this purpose, and I have travelled a lot, which makes this mandatory measure a bit unreasonable.

The reception team at Pension Aduar, is not all that friendly and not very helpful. I stayed 3 nights, and on my last night, I spent it in and out of the bathroom with food poisoning from a recommendation they made to a restaurant. When I went to ask for help (obviously not for free) with getting drinks and/or medicine or an extended time to check out, I was greeted with “No, we don’t offer those services.” However, they are fast to charge a full night if you stay past noon, with no exceptions. That would’ve been fine in any other given situation, but I was sick and felt weak and unwell and I was by myself. I’m very disappointed in the “services” here.

The style and design of this pension is beautiful. Its situation in the Old Town is ideal; lots of very lively eateries and bars just around the corner and only a ten minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are small and bathroom tiny. There is a lack of shelves for toiletries in the bathroom and both soap dispensers were broken. We had to hand-hold the shower head because it did not fit in its holder. Could do with a bit of money being spent on the rooms but, other than that, it is fine.
