This was the first time staying at a Mara Conservancy, and boy did we have a fantastic time! We have stayed at Basecamp's Svalbard hotel a few years earlier, and their Naboisho property is right up there in terms of accomodation, game drives, service, animal sightings, food, guiding-one could go on and on. We stayed for 3 nights in the shoulder season. The amount of sightings we had, and especially the quality of each sighting was truly memorable. Cheetah on a kill and vultures waiting in the wings trying to peck at the scraps. Lion brothers roaring through our night drive, and and only our vehicle following them for 2 hours. A leopard pair mating, again only 1 of 2 vehicles. A pride of lions sauntering past our vehicle. Hyenas heckling lions (who had killed and were devouring a zebra) and running away with scraps.. Food was outstanding, each meal well thought out and presented. They even organised a bush dinner at short notice, when they found out it was my husband's birthday. Thanks for a wonderful safari! I'm waiting to go back again soon.

The View: Perhaps the best single viewpoint for seeing animals in Massa—and it’s literally from the back porch of your lodge. I really can’t say enough about it. It’s like you are Ace Ventura and the animals are coming to hang out right in front of you. You can see buffalo, giraffes, monkeys, wildebeests, zebras and sometimes even a lion--all from the comfort of your breakfast or lunch table. See the pictures. Hard to believe. Lodging. We had a single room. Comfortable king bed. Great view. Bathroom was well equipped. And there was an outside shower so you can get clean while taking in the view. Guards accompany you to and from the tent for protection. WiFi. Top notch. Food. Big props to Mary who served us three meals each day with the biggest smile on her face. She always had the best attitude. Breakfast was awesome. Fruit. Smoothies. Eggs. Bacon!!! Pancakes. Yogurt and museli. Great start to the day. Lunch and dinner were three course meals with vegetarian options. Not a ton of food, but a good variety. Adult Beverages. Not a huge selection, but they had local beer (Tusker), red and white wine from South Africa and several liquors and a whiskey or two. They are not expensive at all. The safari. Dama knew the roads backwards and forwards and always had a good attitude—even after many long days. She helps you find the animals you want to see and gets you close. Just speak up and have opions about what you want to do. They are ready to accomodate. We will not forget the baby elephant and the lioness kill. Conserency versus National Reserve. We did 3 days at the conservancy and 1 day at the reserve trying to see a rhino and leopard. Unless you are there for the actual migration or must see the Masa River, for example, I wouldn’t go to the National Reserve. The conservancy is less crowded, you will see almost all the same animals (except a rhino—which are almost impossible to see on the reserve anyway), and you will be able to get a lot, lot closer because there are no crowds fighting to see the same thing. Staff. Stanley, Nick, and all the guards were very friendly and ready to help you with anything. Hot Air Baloon Ride: Enjoyed our ride to the National Reserve with Dominic, our driver, and Dominic, his assitant. Because of "controlled burning," much of the reserve where the flight took place looked like the surface of the moon (our pilot's words) and that was disappointing. But it was a unique experience--1st time to do a hot air baloon. And the breakfast afterwards was lovely. But it is pretty expensive. Probably wouldn't do it again. But it was a once-in-a-lifetime sort of experience.

We had a wonderful time at eagle point. Highlights were: 1. Nice homemade meals, always two options one of which was vegetarian. I can’t eat dairy and they fully catered to that requirement. Even making non dairy ice-cream just for me. The beef fillet and fish were top for us! 2. Bush breakfast, they set up a table and let you have breakfast whilst on the safari drive, always loads of food. You eat with the tour guide and continue to ask questions which we really liked that he joined us. 3. The tour guide, we had Edward and Dickson also joined us for a bit, they went out of their way to find exceptional sightings for us including two leopards, a group of elephants playing at a water hole, lions whilst hunting and a cheater with cubs. 4. The staff were all welcoming and are very open to answering any questions and sharing info about their culture. It’s clear that eagle view work with the community and have a lot of respect for them. Whilst we were there there was one hiccup that another driver got stuck with a guest so we did have to drive out to help during our safari drive. Generally we felt this was dealt with well by the tour guides and management. We picked up the additional guest (we had booked a private car so it was no longer private). The tour guide did apologise for this. Management gave us a free bottle of wine at dinner, we were taken out on a private drive the next day. The only point for improvement is that whilst we understand alcoholic drinks should be extra, we expected soft drinks to be included. Only water is included, Coke lemonade etc. is extra. Tips for other travellers, bring binoculars and a good camera, we also recommend mosquito bracelets, we used these the whole time whilst there they worked well. Overall we had a fantastic experience and will be recommending to friends and family! We would like to thank all the staff for making us feel at home.

Stunning position with views out over the animals below. Knowledgeable game drivers. A limit of 5 vehicles at an animal viewing made for some incredible sightings. So much better than the frantic jostling that we experienced in the neighbouring Maasai Mara as numerous drivers tried to outdo each other to get the closest to the animals - even if that meant disturbing the animals. Friendly and helpful staff. All round a wonderful experience.

When you walk into the reception area you are immediately overwhelmed by the spectacular view! The area overlooks the vast, open area where you see giraffes, zebra and more roaming. The view is amazing and panoramic! Internet is very good and available in your tent, but not in reception. That’s a good thing because the view is the experience, not to be ruined by staring at your computer or phone. The entire staff is terrific, the food and drinks wonderful and our tent, while rather small, had a great view and was close to reception. Game drives were great, our guide, Edward, was fun, found us lots of game and positioned the vehicle for great photos. He even sang us a welcome song during the morning snack stop in the bush. The Masai hospitality just cannot be beat….always smiling and willing to help. We spent 3 nights and on our final game drive we were treated to maybe a thousand plus zebras at a waterhole, joined by giraffe. It was an amazing site watching the animals drinking and walking in the water. Just prior to that event, we watched as 3 lions stalked a lone zebra. The lions flanked the zebra, one lion rose up, the zebra spooked and ran directly towards the other two lions. This time, the zebra won and escaped, by about 3 seconds . We sat in our vehicle no more than 50 feet from the action….wow! Eagle View…it sure lives up to its name.

I have visited the Masai Mara a number of times and our stay at Eagle View has set the bar very high for future visits! Our experience from beginning to end was outstanding. We had been traveling southwestern Kenya for a week prior to our arrival and were looking forward to this time at Eagle View. We were met just outside the conservancy by our guide Richard who drove us into Naboisho. The drive in was packed with information about the conservancy and even a stop along the way to view some elephants. Once at reception, we were assisted to our tents and given time to freshen up and return for an evening game drive. Following our evening game drive, we were guided to our dining table where we ate most of our meals during our stay. Our server, Johnson was kind, accommodating and even a little sly with his humor (which we all appreciated!) Every meal was three courses and expertly prepared by Chef Julian. We had filet of beef, fish, lamb, turkey, pasta and vegetarian options for members of our group. The soups Main courses and desserts at lunch and dinner were not only delicious but so thoughtfully presented. Each game drive was packed with amazing wildlife and landscapes. Along with our guide, Richard’s information along the way, it made for a trip of a lifetime. There is so much to say, but I will put it into some highlights: *Abundant wildlife viewing and photography *Breakfast on the conservancy during morning game drive *”Sundowner” cocktails at sunset during our evening game drives (we did this twice!) *Five Star Quality Food *Very well appointed tents. A wonderful place to relax between game drives. It was oddly comforting to fall asleep to the sounds of the animals in the distance (and not so distant). *Outstanding Staff - every one of them! Thank you especially to Richard, Johnson and Chef Julian! I cannot wait to return to Eagle View!

when we arrived in the little plane and landed , Richard our guide for the next few days was there to meet us . Took a instant likening to the britsh sense of humour and asked my nine year old granddaughter if sg=he wanted to go to the camp or for a drive , we had no say in the matter ,so drive it was. It was absolutely great , we saw most animals before supper and myla was beside herself . Richard asked what else she wanted to see , and said we can look for unicorns and tigers in the morning , proved very elusive to find !! Christine and all the staff are charming and looked after us very well , even when i was a bit under the weather . The highlight was a giraffe nearly in the tent and seeing the leopards ,and cheetahs. My granddaughter said it was a great adventure and i completely agree . Thank you all and especially Richard , my new son that i never knew i had !!!

We’ve stayed 5 nights at Eagle View Masai Mara in March 2022. Our unforgettable adventure started, when we met, at the gate to the conservatory, our two Masai guides Kaleb and Alfax. They were really fantastic. They could tell us so much about their culture, they found always the best places to observe the wild animals and to take great pictures and they made each game drive simple unforgettable for us. We had so much fun together! As we arrived at Eagle View we were driven like in trance to the pool-overlooking platform from where we saw the first elephants, zebras and girafes. That must be paradise! Breathtaking! Amazing! We were then welcomed by the manager Christine, a most charming wonderful person who made our stay really perfect. Not to forget Tracy and the other staff who where really wonderful. The place is really exceptional! We wish, we could have stayed longer!
