Vivanta Mangalore truly lives up to its reputation as one of the finest hotels in the city. What sets it apart is its unique ability to offer a luxurious and tranquil experience while being conveniently located within Mangalore's bustling center. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of sophisticated calm, a welcome respite from the city's energy. It's definitely worth the price for the quality and experience you receive. The rooms are a standout feature: spacious, impeccably clean, and maintained to a high standard of hygiene. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the quality of the linens to the thoughtfully curated amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The staff at Vivanta are incredibly courteous, friendly, and professional. They are genuinely helpful and go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well-cared for. The dining experience is also a highlight. Service at both restaurants is consistently good, and while the breakfast spread isn't extensive, it's certainly sufficient and everything is very tasty. However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The lack of a spa is a notable omission for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, while the swimming pool is a welcome amenity, its exposure to the surrounding buildings detracts somewhat from the overall relaxation experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, Vivanta Mangalore offers a truly exceptional experience. It's the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking a luxurious and tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning. Pros: Worth the price Spacious, clean, and hygienic rooms Friendly and helpful staff Good service at both restaurants Sufficient and tasty breakfast Cons: No spa Swimming pool is exposed to surrounding buildings A suggestion for improvement would be to extend the Wink pub outwards towards the front garden area. This would allow outside guests to access the pub without needing to enter through the main reception, thus better preserving the privacy of in-house guests.
