Manchester West Didsbury

A great welcome when three of us arrived with our bicycles. We were efficiently booked in, advice was provided about a pub we wanted to visit and we went to our rooms. Clean and welcoming, we had a very good night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent with a calm efficiency from the staff working there.

Our room was very clean and comfortable but more basic than other Premier Inns in which we have stayed. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was well organised and tasty. We were within a 20 minute walk of West Didsbury's Burton Road which is full of unique shops and restaurants.

As expected. We have stayed at this Premier Inn in the past. Chosen for its location close to our sons student house. Marginally let down this time by a cracked sink and mould around the base of the shower. Premier Inns are always good value for money and great, as long as you are not looking for 5*accommodation.

We stayed here for the Manchester marathon and it was ideal. Parking was plentiful and check in was easy (although they did put me on the third floor, thankful there was a lift for my legs haha). It was only a 15 minute walk to the tram and then a further 15-20 minute ride to the start line. The hotel had free water in reception for runners which was a nice touch. We didn’t eat here but had everything we needed in our hotel room for a comfortable stay. We booked two nights so we could use the carpark an extra day for the marathon and so I could shower after and this was good value. They were allowing people to park an extra day for a charity donation which was nice. Overall it was an ideal location, not too far out and had everything we needed for our stay. I would come back/recommend to others.

Outstanding value for money. Nice spacious room which was spotless clean. Very nice soft bath towels in roomy bathroom with walk in shower. My wife had the continental breakfast which offered a good choice of fresh items. I had the cooked English breakfast, which was buffet style. Everything was very nicely fresh and well cooked. The fresh ground coffee was an unexpected treat, in what is supposed to be a "Budget" priced hotel. Very impressed with the friendless and helpfulness of the staff we met. Have often stayed at Premier Inns. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and value fir money in unbeatable.

The hotel is very convenient for a visit to the Manchester Spire hospital and well-priced. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was comfortable as was the bed. However, I had the worst night's sleep I have ever had in any hotel. We were given a room above reception (102 from memory) the doors were very loud when they and closed as if the self-closers were determined to slam each door shut and it seemed like doors were banging shut almost every 10 seconds until past midnight. At around 4.45 am the doors started banging shut again. I could also hear every slightest footstep from the room above. The hotel lacks sufficient sound insulation. If you do stay there, ask to be located as far from reception as possible.
