I stayed for one night to catch an early flight the next day. I was given a room that was intended for a disabled person with unfamiliar appliances that were inconveniently low. The central heating was not working and there were temporary heaters near the bed. However, the bathroom was freezing cold and taking a shower was an uncomfortable experience. I mentioned all this at reception when I checked out and was told that I should have raised these issues after checking in. The staff considered that it was my responsibility to obtain a suitable room rather than the responsibility of the hotel to provide one. I was left with the feeling that the hotel's first choice was to give me the least desirable room and only change it if I complained.
