Wow what a fabulous time we had at Cabot Lodge. Our every need was anticipated and met by the wonderful hosts Brad and Breidi and by the incredible Suzie who was so knowledgeable about the local area and activities. The suite was super comfortable with a lovely open fireplace and generous ensuite with a claw foot bath. The food and service was second to none, each meal was a delight to the senses and using local produce was perfect. Brad catered to our dietary requirements in a very creative way and the wine selection was well appointed. Breidi looks after our activities itinerary and we enjoyed a wonderful time exploring the Milford Road and Doubtful Sounds.

We had a great stay at Cabot Lodge. The rooms were excellent, the bed was very comfortable (too comfortable, I did not want to get up!) and Breidi and Brad exceptional hosts. They were very helpful and informative with quite a bit of local information. The food was, as advertised, locally sourced and delicious.

You think the pictures are stunning? Wait till you get there! And you will know before you get there how fabulous it will be as you start corresponding with the lovely Breidi who sets up everything for you! She booked us on the wonderful cruise historic Fiordland Crise "faith" and then the next day on the tour of the doubtful sound. We were greated by Brad who showed us around the lovely property and then met up with us again for drinks and snacks before dinner. The food was outstanding and all local, much from their farm. The only downside of our stay is that we weren't there long enough. It would have been wonderful to have a day just to chill there. Spectacular place with spectacular people that make you feel like family. Can't wait to go back!!

From the moment we arrived Breidi and Brad looked after us and were very warm and welcoming. Everything and I mean everything was perfect. We stayed in the Garden Suite. Bed was so comfortable, lovely lounge to relax in and look out over the farm, lake and snow capped mountains. Meals were beyond delicious and a big thank you to the chef and staff. Thanks Breidi and Brad for a totally memorable experience!

We had an amazing 5 nights at Cabot Lodge. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Our hosts Brad and Breidi were so accomodating in every way. The accomodation was amazing and the food was sensational. The Lodge is the perfect base to explore Fiordland National Park. We had trips planned everyday and were so fortunate to come home to a warm welcome every day. Read all the other reviews - they are all spot on. One tip is if you get a chance and are interested take a personalised farm tour of Cathedral Peaks Station. Paul and Michelle

Such a beautiful experience. Amazing location, hospitality, food and cleanliness. Genuinely felt sad leaving - my wife and I had such a wonderful time thanks to all the lovely staff and care. They planned our entire itinerary for us during our stay in the region based on their local knowledge - super easy and super relaxing trip. Thank you Cabot Lodge team

Wonderful little luxury lodge in the heart of New Zealand's famous South Island Fiordland. Located on a beautiful sheep farm just a few Kilometers from Te Anau. Snow capped mountains provide the perfect backdrop for this authentic, unpretentious and charming retreat stay.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is stunning overlooking Lake Manipouri, the rooms are beautiful, the food is really good, and the care and attention to detail by Breidi and Brad are extraordinary. You feel like a welcomed house guest as soon as you arrive - the lodge is very intimate, only 4 rooms, all positioned around a courtyard which has been imaginatively planted by the original owners. Complimentary drinks are offered at 6pm in the library before you are invited into the 'kitchen' for dinner. Breakfast is served in the kitchen in the morning - a mix of buffet and hot options cooked by Brad. As hosts, they describe the activities that are available, book them for you, giving lots of good tips about where to eat, what to see and what other options are available.

We wanted somewhere special for my wife's 50th and Cabot Lodge did not disappoint. Stunning location matched by beautiful accommodation for both my wife and I plus our two (adult) children. Breidi and Brad arranged excursions, recommended local attractions and took excellent care of us. If you are considering a change to Queenstown Lakes etc, come to Fiordland and stay at Cabot. Its got 100% 5 star reviews for a very good reason - it is simply excellent.
