Zostel Old Manali

The hostel is good and the view from the hotel is awesome, but the area is terrible. It's inside a village in Old Manali and the path is very narrow. The area is horrible and felt unsafe. On the way to the hostel, you might encounter Snake🐍which is terrible. I will highly recommend staying at Mall Road rather than Old Manali. It will also save you transportation cost which is very costly, as you must go to Mall Road everyday for having your lunch/dinner, or for entertainment.

Pleasant place lovely staff and rooms was just wondering. We travelled all over wit an ease and had sooo muchhh fun , clicked pic all over the scenes made some memories , and enjoyed alot . Super views and adorable place , will surely be visiting soon with him again Thanks for making our week .. lucky to got here in such a affordable place with 5 stars accommodations n surroundings.

I’m booking ZOSTEL Manali every year since 2017 for my stay. Every time it has just given me memories. The location, the food, the hospitality by Pritam bhaiya, karan, Dinesh and the cleaning staff, cook is just perfect. 10/10 to each sector of ZOSTEL. Things can go wrong if we encounter a wrong visitor (guests) as some people really trouble the service providers. But that is also handled by the ZOSTEL team very humbly and calmly. Furniture, cleanliness and the overall feel from 8am to 10pm is such a lovely environment to be in. Food id always fresh and served within 5-10 min we order. ZOSTEL has made it possible to give us such a comfort in this kind of climate and harsh situations in mountains. Thank you giving these services and confidence to make such trips often. Great place to have a great time with other travellers and live in every trip.

Hi team, So I had checked in at Zostel Manali (Old Manali road) on 3rd March 2023 and checked out on 6th Match 2023. I have stayed in different Zostel's be it in Rishikesh, Dharamshala and Chennai. We stayed in 4 mixed dorm room. I have to say the dorm was much smaller in size as compared to your other 4 mixed dorm rooms in Rishikesh , Chennai and Dharamshala. Apart from that people were drinking booz like they had not have alcohol in their life and after drinking soo much were misbehaving like entering our room to take a piss without even asking and then justifying their actions. We had a girl with us in that room so you can take a guess how wrong it was on that guys part. Also your Volunteer for Activities, a guy named Anurag had only 2 things to do, either he was smoking pot or making us play Mafia. Also he was more focused on taking everyone for star gazing at night in the middle of the jungle, I dont know why maybe he has his own maggie point there or god knows what. Manali is beautiful but your volunteer Anurag made the whole stay bad for us and on top during a bon fire he was forcing us to drink alcohol even though we clearly said we dont drink. Forcing someone to drink alcohol is not cool or hippy in any sense. Kindly look into your people working on that property.

The property is overrated. I chose Zostel Manali because of decent experience at Zostel, Mcleodganj. But the property does not cater the proper amenities. The property is located in the midst of local houses. You have to anyways walk carrying your stuff to reach this property. Also the room with double occupancy is so so overrated and overpriced. The room is very small with basic facilities. The sheets and pillows were not properly cleaned. There was nothing called a great view from the room at the first floor. There is no soundproofing at the rooms. From early morning when you are sleep you can hear the voices of other people as well as squeaky noise of doors from upstairs and sideways. To the top of it the food was terrible. On the first day I didn’t eat but my friend did and he got diarrhoea and vomiting the next morning from their food. And when the next day he could not eat because of diarrhoea, I ate there and the next morning when we reached Delhi, I also suffered from diarrhoea and all . All and all this was the worst experience. There are pretty good hostels and hotels in old Manali itself with mesmerising views at the prices cheaper than Zostel.

Traveled with my two friends to Manali and we decided to stay for a day and then travel on to other places. But we were in for the most pleasant surprise at Zostel Manali, the ambience of the property and the food was just the starting point of attraction. We also met some amazing people and bonded so well that we extended our stay by a week. A big shoutout to Shubham for being so gracious with all the guests at the property. Trust him to go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a blast. He is also your guy for the best spots in Manali! Zostel Manali was our hardest goodbye yet, highly recommend it to everyone who visits manali.
