Sentido Kyknos Beach Adults Only

Me and my family bought a package holiday off Thomas cook, great flight from Manchester , quick and easy transfers from the airport , 25mins on the bus , then stayed in a Newley refurbished room that was to a very high standard with aircon and walk in shower and cool L.E.D strip lights around the room , We were all inclusive and the food was brilliant and plenty of choice , they also did themed nights like Chinese Greek and a BBQ night. Two separate pools for adults and children made it perfect for us , Pool bar is open all day serving draught beer red white whine cocktails coffee and tea , the beach was a 5 mins away Literally across the road and down a path , if you walk to the left and over the little hill there's a beautiful beach with no rocks and a gradual decline into the clear water for kids , 9 euro a day for 2 sunbeds, Entertainment at night was brilliant whilst enjoying all inclusive drinks , Also a kids mini disco every night hosted by the Thomas cook reps , Overall highly recommend clean friendly place , no hassle and worth the money ,

This hotel is lovely but basic rooms. Staff are superb and very friendly and it is spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the food lets it down. There is nothing for children unless they want either chips or spaghetti. Also there wasn't much choice, in fact in my opinion the food was very disappointing to say the least. Otherwise the holiday was brilliant. I can't fault the hotel complex and staff as they were lovely, especially Olga who ran the bar at night. One other observation is that should the weather be wet then there isn't much seating under cover but luckily the weather was good for us. All in all we had a lovely time there and if you are not bothered too much about the food then I would recommend it.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel until the moment we left, every member of staff made us feel welcome, valued and went out of their way to make our week away a perfect one. The food at the hotel was traditionally Cretan, bountiful and delicious. It is the first year of being Sentido and the hotel has been given a beautiful face lift, to create a calm and very special experience. We would highly recommend the hotel on this beautiful island

Deep Tissue Massage with Sofia. The massage was fantastic, my body feels like new. Sofia did a fantastic job, everything felt wonderful and relaxing.

Overall, this was not a nice property. Considering that Sentido brand is known for their up standard as well as often luxury properties. Kyknos was a massive disappointed. Most of the staff was very nice and helpful, exemption two ladies from the Buffett that just had an attitude and being rather mean to the guests. Property was OK, basic, but al least clean. Evening shows were pleasant but not every evening. Beach was some 5 min walk, but it is not the kind of beach one would desire. Guests were mixed bag, not very friendly and often rude to the staff not saying thanks nor please. Room: We had a swim up suite, hotel double-booked our room so first night they dumped up in a double room which was tiny, one could barely walk pass the bed and the bathroom was full on disabled bathroom with horrible furniture and no storage. They tried convincing us that this was an upgrade cause room had a private pool. But sorry tiny room with pool does not match suite with pool access. I told them that they should refund us for that night, but they couldn’t case less. Our swim up suite was spacious but as basic as it gets, not even paper tissues were provided. Bathroom window had 2 windows with no dressing at all which give the guests from upstairs balconies unobstructed view of someone in the shower or on the toilette. Being a swim out, guests will be spending all of their awake time outside on the terrace, this space is rather cramped, not well thought out at all. It is dead west facing with no shade at all, not even an umbrella, some kind of a shade solution is an absolute must. Also there is no separation between the rooms, these tiny plants provide zero privacy and it is just not ok. The view that guests get from these rooms is the view of the pumpkin field. Not very inspiring. They could have planted some mature hedging and take care of this eyesore. All in all, no thought has been given to these rooms at all. Food: Heads down this is the ABSOLUTE WORST part of staying at Kyknos Sentido. Food is bad, it is REALLY BAD. Beyond words bad! We were expecting some fresh greek flavours, fish and things like that sourced locally. But what we got shocked us. Greek food was represented by heavy winter stews that were overcooked to the point of disintegration, almost cremated pork daily, pork was a daily repeated protein in multiple dishes. Breakfast would feature 4 plus kind of sausages, but no hash-browns, mushrooms, sautéed spinach, things normal people eat for breakfast. Fruit was represented by some sliced oranges the kind one would use for Aperol Spritz. In all my hotel stays never have I experienced no fruit for breakfast until now. Drinks: Cheapest of cheap liquor which are then mixed with super-sweet sirupy sodas. Beer is actually watered down as it tastes nothing like Mythos from the can. Drinks are another disaster. Not all drinks are included in AI, Aperol Spritz for example… the most popular summer drink in Europe, they sell for an extra price of 8.50€,
