We are on the last day of our holiday and we have had a lovely week. The hotel is clean, our room is comfortable and the staff are friendly. The hotel is literally in top of the beach and the pool area is nice. The food has also been very good with lots of choices. The hotel and holiday and exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again!

The main good thing about this hotel was the staff they’re all very pleasant, professional and welcoming Our room, after an upgrade was gorgeous with great sea and beach views The food was hit n miss, we ate out a few times, one at the restaurant next to hotel which was gorgeous and then we frequently visited Wild Rose Bar at the top corner of the road. Great snacks and proper drinks Beer at hotel watered down and was only served in 1/2 pint glasses with about a third being froth Hotel has its own private beach and sun loungers plenty and free

We just returned from a 1-week all-inclusive stay at the Neptuno Beach. Family of 4. When I was booking the holiday package for the travel dates that we wanted, only the Family Rooms were available. The Family Room was located on 1st floor just above the reception area. Sometimes it was a bit noisy there, but no drama. The room was a bit small for us especially the bathroom. No bathtub, only shower cabin which was tight. We had a balcony with a partial view of the sea. The bed was comfortable for sleep but could have used extra pillows (only 2 were given per bed). Kids had a bunkbed, and they slept well. With the bunkbed next to our bed we had zero privacy, definitely book a larger room if available. The AC unit was new, efficient, and quiet. The fridge in the room too loud at night, so we unplugged it before sleep. Rooms were clean, in good condition, and the cleaning service did a very good job in maintaining the room. There was a safe in the room for which we had to pay 3 EUR per day to use it. Not common for me to see a fee for a safe, that was a bit annoying. This is a small hotel, which we viewed as a positive, because we did not feel as if it was crowded. There were always lounge chairs available at the pool or the beach. You get 1 large pool for adults and bigger kids, and 1 really small pool for the children below 6 yr old. The pool was never overcrowded as some guests stayed at the beach. The beach was a big plus for the hotel. The lounge chairs and umbrellas were for hotel guests only and at no extra charge. The beach was sandy and clean. We spent the mornings in the sea and afternoons in the pool, and there was never a problem in finding chairs. There is a pool bar, and pool snack area, at the back there is the kids club where you can find a pool table and a ping pong table. There is no spa if you are looking for a massage. There is only one dining area where you get the all-inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner. Food was tasty and Yanis the chef was very helpful. We had no problems in finding something for us and our kids. They try to change up the offerings each day, but some items were constant. The drinks at the bar were OK, they used some fancy machine that did the mixing of cocktails. If you asked for extra shot of spirit, they would do it for you. For me the biggest disappointment was coffee, there also they used a new dispensing machine that made different types of coffee, but they were all instant crap. If you wanted a proper Espresso or Americano you had to pay extra. The crowd control at the dining area was manageable. The staff at this hotel was nice with the exception of 1 person. The lady that served at the pool bar she only smiled if you were a German customer (around 75% of guests were from Germany, the rest of the guests were from Poland, Romania, Czech, France). Stayed 10 days in June and we can understand why people keep going back. The food is very very good every day plenty of different choices of Hot and cold . You must try things that maybe you have never heard of especialy some of the greek dishes. Our room was very comfortable a superior double room with sea view we were on the front block next to the pool ( not heated) but as the temp was 29 degrees it was just right to cool down and just a mention for Galan entertainment person. very funny and great aqua class . Very nice beach 20 yards from the pool plenty of sun beds as usual people like to place towels on them and as long as you do the same before 9 am you should get them. There is a strong wind though which can make the sea a bit rough. We wish we could mention everyone of the staff who work there , But we can only remember George the the concierge nothing is to much trouble. The staff at reception always helpful as are the cleaners who keep everything so clean and tidy towels changed every day and linen every few days. The Bar is between the Pool and the Beach where they have evening entertainment occasionally . And this is where things fall down. You can smoke where ever you like which makes it hard for non smokers, in this day and age there should be seperate areas set aside. The one other is the wine for a few euros more l am sure the company could provide a wine that doesnt need to be mixed with something to improve the taste. Overall this is a great Hotel Great Value Great Staff, and would definitely go back again.

Pros- clean, excellent food, good choice of cocktails. Beach location and only a short cheap bus ride into Heraklion. Cons- Room outdated and small, bathroom door was a slide open and didnt close properly. Shower didnt work 2 nights in a row and had to wait over an hour on repair. No place to dry towels/swimwear on balcony. Although we enjoyed the food the snack options were pitiful and often dried out leftovers. There is no indoor bar, not ideal if the weather isn't good. Only 2 pool toilets and no toilets inside unless in your room. No professional entertainment, we opted to go for a walk or retire early most evenings. Overall we enjoyed our stay but this hotel is never a 4 star.

There are many good features which I will describe— but for us, the biggest disappointment was food and beverage. After each meal, my party went to eat elsewhere, preferring tastier and different selections so the “all inclusive” was a waste and approved to be a much more expensive than expected trip.Here is more info on the ups and downs. Ups: It’s clean and the rooms are fine. Bathrooms are nice and modern. Bathrobes are provided. Though some reviews complained about the location, we actually liked it. We partly chose this hotel because it is situated right on the beach and there were plenty of lounge chairs available. You can catch hop on hop off bus, not too far away and for €20 a person go all around the city, including Knossos palace for two days. Breakfast buffet is ample and tasty. There were plenty of lounge chairs and seats by the pool. At dinner, the salad bar was always good. When the buffet was open, it was always extremely crowded, but there was a very diligent manager always making sure to try to find people a table and get the tables cleaned quickly. The rooms were cleaned daily. The grounds are kept neat and tidy. Downs; Extremely noisy all the time. One cannot converse at meals because it is a noisy cafeteria like environment rather than dining experience. You hear noise in adjacent rooms, and the halls are extremely loud with loud patrons and children, crying babies, and slamming doors at all hours. We did not appreciate the loud cafeteria type experience at meals because we like to enjoy and chat. We might’ve taken food to go on the beach or elsewhere to enjoy, but they did not discuss options for such a thing. I don’t know if there’s room service —they didn’t mention it. There is no sundry shop. No Concierge to help with plans. As far as I can tell, you can’t buy Coca-Cola type drink anywhere on site. There is a wide variety of food offered at the buffet and many seemed to enjoy it, but the entrees had a sameness to the taste and we did not like them though we tried and tried. Sometimes a bite produced a taste as if the food was cooked in sulfur water and we couldn’t eat it. They do try hard and provide variety but the entree preparation needs a great deal of improvement. They need much better beverage options. There is very limited beer and wine choice. Instead of drinking their free choices I bought one call brand drink and it was very expensive —more so than if you buy it outside the hotel. Instead of fresh juices that you often find in Greece they only have the overly sweet, artificial flavored fake juices. Nothing fresh. instead of the wonderful gelato that you can find almost everywhere in Greece, they serve pretty awful artificial ice cream. They say they have a snack bar by the pool, but we found it to be pretty inedible, it’s actually a tiny buffet of sorts open for a limited time.
