During our stay we were bitten by bed bugs, we inspected the sheets and found the bed bugs (pictures added). It was terribly itchy so we went to the doctor that confirmed that the marks were in fact from bed bugs and prescribed a cream. We confronted the manager that was unapologetic and said that it's not his fault. He later even claimed that we brought the bed bugs ourselves, when in fact another review 8 months before, had exactly the same issue with bed bugs. He told us that the insurance would give us money and we shall send an email. (We have little hope ever hearing back from them, since the other reviewer wrote they haven't heard from the insurance yet, and we probably won't either). However the manager gave us a new room, it was located outside the main hotel, the room had only enough hot water for a 10 min shower before turning freezing cold. The walls were so thin, we woke up by the neighbors alarm at 6 am and heard every slight movement of theirs. Furthermore, we had to request for room service every day, since they forgot about it. At least the new room at wifi, which the bed bug room didn't!! (In 2024 no wifi...). Also both rooms were very dusty and outdated. Moreover, the staff was incredibly friendly and the only highlight during our stay. But unfortunately, they were completely untrained and made some major hygienic mistakes. Dirty plates from other guests were put on our table, tables were cleaned with the same sponge that the seats were cleaned with beforehand, we even saw a waiter cough into a cloth with which he proceeded to clean the cups for the guest. In fact, my mother got incredibly sick with a digestive virus with symptoms appearing on the last day of our stay. We were even told that a lot of the staff is sick and it seems there was an outbreak amongst them (ofc this is just a presumption, we can't know for sure where my mother got the infection) All this is not the waiters fault, it's the fault of the manager not properly training and supervising their staff, because they did try their best and simply didn't know better on how to do their job properly. Lastly the food was absolutely disgusting, we ate solely for the purpose of nutrition rather than pleasure. But this was mentioned in other reviews as well so I don't want to get into too much detail. But just imagine ordering a soup and receiving basically water with soup aroma added. To wrap it up, in the end we were indeed somewhat compensated (not by insurance), but I still want to write down our experience at this hotel so people are aware of what to expect.
