Adaaran Select was simply a five star resort. From the moment we arrived the staff were just excellent and extremely friendly the Islands facilities were beautiful clean modern and eased us into island life. The layout of the bars restaurants and accommodation meant there felt like there was lots of space and although one of the team (Janish) told us the island was at around 90+% capacity you wouldn’t have known. It was so relaxed and had everything you would ever need. The beach villa was beautiful well equipped with lots of fresh bedlinen and towels. The bed was super comfortable and the room was tastefully decorated. Water was replenished frequently too! There was a well equipped gym and spa and the chinese reflexology clinic is definitely worth a visit for a well priced session. We did a couples spa that was just wonderful and a nice treat. We used the gym which had a good supply of dumbbells! The food was excellent and so fresh and tasty. There was enough variety for a two weeklong stay. Lots of veggie & vegan options too. The bar staff were skilled at making cocktails and the array of spirits on offer was great. It was my birthday during my stay and I was presented with a beautiful chocolate birthday cake and a song from the staff I returned to my room and our bed had been decorated with a birthday message. It was so sweet and i was really impressed! I wouldn’t hesitate to return here and would like to put a special mention to all of the staff who work soo hard always with a smile and a greeting. Especially to Apoovra, Beena & Janish! Theyre 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️employees! Really embraced the whole customer experience! Well done all at Meedhupparu!

Just returned from an excellent 11 night stay at Adaaran Meedhupparu. An overall great experience from landing at Male, transferring to seaplane (pack some earplugs!) and arriving and staying on the island. Excellent service from extremely pleasant staff. Great choice of food in main restaurant and the Indian restaurant, both of whom change menus daily. Cafe Maas provides a great lunch from a good menu, if you want a change from buffet food. Excellent meal at Thavaa, but booking is ESSENTIAL. Try emailing the hotel before you go. Our villa was very close to the sea, but some are further away in shady areas of the island. Room was clean and tidy, and well maintained twice a day. A great touch from the staff to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary (see photo). Excellent snorkelling, though too windy for us to try other water sports. Good sized pool, with poolside bar. Try the Mai Tai’s! Overall, would recommend.

Spending honeymoon in Maldives was always my dream and I couldn't have chosen better resort then Adaaran Select Meedhupparu. This resort is not only perfect for couples looking for quiet and relaxing holidays, it is also a great place for families with kids or people who just love snorkeling - the whole island is surrounded by coral reef and you can snorkel right from the beach. We spent an amazing week in this hotel, despite the fact that my husband sprained his ankle the first night. As it was difficult for him to walk the first day after the accident, the reception sent a golf cart which took us to the restaurant and back. For dinner, I went to Caffe Mass and even though they usually don't do it, they exceptionally packed me 2 burgers to go, so we could enjoy them at our room. All the staff was very nice, they always greeted us with a smile. I don't want to repeat other reviews, so I'll just summarize some tips: - every evening in the main restaurant is dedicated to different type of cuisine (e.g. Maldivian, Italian, BBQ...) - you can find a list near the entrance from the pool - the a la carte restaurant Thaava has to be booked for lunch/dinner, I recommend booking right when you arrive as it might be fully booked later - check the board in the main bar - you can find here the list of the evening entertainment planned for the whole week - Albino bar is a nice, smaller bar with 101 cocktails (we tried maybe half of them, as we were lucky and our room was right next to this bar - 304) - in the evening, around 10 pm, I definitely recommend a walk to the end of both piers - you can see smaller stingrays near the reception and larger stingrays (a different species) and sharks near Caffe Mass - you don't need to bring blue beach towels from your room to the pool as you will get green towels at the pool area - this was very convenient Overall, we felt like in paradise. If Maldives were not so far, I wouldn't mind coming back to this resort every year... but I am sure, we will be back in few years - maybe to celebrate one of the anniversaries :)

The good It’s laid back and not at all princessy, with very few parading around in their finery-which I liked! but this is potentially not what people are looking for in an expensive Maldives resort Extensive cocktail menu Service was pretty sharp in most places (but hotel was only 70%ish occupancy when we were there) Indian restaurant is stunning ands it’s in the all inclusive price. I was surprised at how few people visited it as probably the best Indian food I have had outside of India and my kitchen . Meat curry’s were amazing but I could quite happily have eaten veggie because these dishes were incredible. Apaarna was by far the best of the waiting staff on the island - so warm and genuine. Chef Lakshman was simply incredible (and automatically cooked me crispy dosa when he saw me coming) Main restaurant - food consistently good and service mainly Cafe mass. Good food. Good ambience. Nice staff Sunset bar. Chilled. Good music. Attentive barman (our favourite nighttime bar) Thavaa restaurant was very good but limited on bookings. We managed 2 visits in a 9 day trip so book as soon as you can on arrival Grounds are lovely and staff work hard to rake leaves away and generally keep it spotless We did three amazing fishing trips. One of the highlights of the holiday (sunset better than morning in our view). Although very expensive for a couple of hours The beaches are incredible. The snorkelling amazing. Nature at its best We had an amazing bed display for our anniversary. Obviously some hard work went into it and we loved and appreciated it Beds are exceptionally comfortable with quality bedding and pillows The Spa treatment that we had was amazing and spa is beautiful. Staff were lovely. Treatments were discounted from the normal prices ($115 plus tax each for 50 minute massage and 30 minute facial). Another sell at the end spoiled it somewhat (products so much cheaper here) The not so good Management and reception not what I would expect from a resort group of this size. I felt at times they were doing me a favour rather than me being a paying guest. A couple of requests we made just seemed to disappear. We asked to move from our jacuzzi villa (see below for reasons). Manager was clearly on the defensive, absolutely no warmth, not a smile to be seen. It made me wonder how many complaints they receive. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended up taking responsibility and I explained it was entirely personal preference as didn’t want to be so far back with massive trees blocking light and it was mainly a view of the jetty and seaplanes as this is not what I had anticipated when booking (room 108). On reflection I should have complained but I wasn’t on complaining form after 26 hours travel with no sleep!! We were asked to sign away any right to make a claim. Literally. Pen to paper! I want to express my heartfelt appreciation and thank you to General Manager Mr. Earnest, Resident Manager Mr. Anslam, Front Office Manager Manoj, Assistant FOM Ahmed, Villa Chief Bharath, May, Ksenia, Sameer, and the dedicated team, including Jayampati, Manuj, Rizwaan Dewa, Kanagaraj, Swarnasiri, Pradeeb, Lakmina, Addhu, Hanippe, Sunday, Moonie, Kaushan, Upul, Sameera, Anuradha, Nadheem, Salinda, Reena from the Spa, and everyone else who contributed to making my stay truly unforgettable. My sincere apologies if I missed any name. :( The bed decoration wasn't just beautifully arranged but also reflected a thoughtful touch that added a sense of luxury and comfort to my accommodation. It created a welcoming and cozy atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Moreover, the personalized welcome setup, featuring a picture of myself, was a delightful surprise. It showcased a level of consideration and personalization that exceeded my expectations. Seeing my picture added a personal touch to the space and made me feel truly valued as a guest. These small but significant details made my stay at Villa 313 unique and memorable. The culinary offerings across all the restaurants were truly outstanding. Every meal, especially the Sufuraa meal, was a delightful journey for the taste buds. I must specifically commend Chef Nuwan and the team at the Water Villa Restaurant for creating a gastronomic masterpiece. I want to extend my gratitude to the entire culinary team for consistently delivering an exceptional dining experience. The DJ sessions at Halaboli Bar were a perfect blend of energetic beats and fantastic music, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The Flaming and Flaring Bartending Show was a mesmerizing display of skill and creativity. The Indonesian and Beninese dance performances were a cultural treat, showcasing the rich traditions and vibrant energy of these regions. Brilliant as always, the island is stunning, food and drink amazing but what really makes this place special is the staff. Snorkeling is great with so much to see. Villas have everything you need, they have gone above and beyond with the new beds and pillows. Any issues are always listened to and action taken. The only slight downer this trip was the return seaplane timing which caused delays at Male with people getting through check in, security etc stressing many and made take off late. An hour is not long enough with the volume of people at the airport. Still intend returning in 2024...

Visited Meedhupparu for three weeks in February /March 2024 Stayed for two weeks in a Dulux Beach villa and one week in the overwater villa was incredibly lucky to get room 155. It’s stunning That is all I can say. My wife and I find the rooms perfect for our beach holiday. We spread our eating and drinking across all restaurants and bars.Each bring a new memory to live with and a special thanks goes to Sufura The Indian Restaurant Who managed to cook special dishes for my wife with dietary needs. You just have to ask All the staff throughout the island permanently have a smile and cannot do enough to ensure your stay is memorable They are lead as you would expect by a cracking management team which in turn is lead by the general manager. The over water villas are a step up for everything and we would recommend a stay there. Lead by a strong team from top The new beach bar is a success and a great meeting place The birds and bats were vocal throughout that really adds to the atmosphere of the tropical island and many small lizards doing lizard stuff. The reef and fish are aplenty as are the sharks and turtles See you there in February 2025 for another life adventure

Our stay at Adaaran Select Meedhupparu exceeded all of our expectations. The island and marine life is beautiful, we loved snorkelling with turtles, égale rays and baby sharks. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as welcoming as possible Darran Schumacher and Saumya Godamuduna we’re exceptionally kind to us thank you for making us feel at home. The island was child friendly our 9 year and 13 year loved the house reef, water sports, swimming pool and experiencing all the wildlife on the island. Thank you for making our dream holiday come true and one day soon hopefully we will return. Paradise on earth🫶🏼🇲🇻 Highly recommend this island.
