The most amazing trip in absolute paradise! When we arrived we were introduced to our Guest experience manager Shah who was so friendly and was always on hand throughout the trip to cater to our every need. There was so much to do and see, and lots of food options. We had the best time and couldn’t have wished for a better trip.

A gorgeous place, with a perfect staff, good restaurants, and a wonderful submariner world. A fantastic place to do snorkeling. Great SPA with therapists on the top ! Sustainable place too, really respectful of nature ! And above everything, GEM Rikke !!!

We chose Six Senses Laamu for our honeymoon based on out friends' recommendation. The whole experince was truly amazing and exceptional, our stay was made super comfortable and enjoyable with the help of our assigned Guest Experience Manager (Abdulla!) who made sure our schedule had a variety of wonderful activities booked and who took away the hassle of choosing a restaurant for dining every evening. The wayer villa we stayed in and overall service was also exceptional to js. We felt so welcomed and our comfort was prioritized by all. The island and the water are gorgeous and we had so much fun exploring; we will be coming back!

The whole experience was amazing. 1) the reef and sea life was so bountiful and right off the resort. Every time we got in the water there were sharks, turtles, rays and more. Don’t miss the sea grass!! 2) not wearing shoes for a week really does have magical powers to make you feel so relaxed 3) the GEMs are all amazing - ours, Shah went above and beyond every day to make sure we had the perfect trip and suggest / bring us things that we didn’t even think of. He also just brings a sense of joy to every conversation and is an amazing photographer. He is definitely part of our story and friend now! 4) every staff member we encountered is wonderful, from the meal service, to the dive center or housekeeping. A big shoutout to Aksham and Nail who always made our dinners special. 5) we really enjoyed all the different activities that were offered from massage workshops, snorkels with marine biologist, jungle cinema. The sandbank is an amazing place to watch the sunset and the private island is such a surreal wonderful experience. Highly recommend. 6) Every dining option was awesome and the food was so delicious. The platting at leaf was always so inventive I had to take pictures. The “buffet” nights are not at all buffet and more live cooking stations and was so fun to explore different cuisines that I had never tried. Breakfast was always amazing and I especially loved my sea life pancakes! I am jealous that you are even considering getting to go here!

Six Senses Laamu is a truly special, magical place to be. It is more than a holiday in the traditional sense. Yes, your every material need is catered for in a unique and very pampering way! But so much more than that, it is an uplifting and indulgent experience for the mind and soul. The influence of the West is present in all the many amenities and activities on offer, the exemplary standards of service (our Guest Entertainment Manager, Shihan, couldn’t do enough for us and looked after us like family throughout our stay - truly exceptional), food and beverages etc. always excellent. Our housekeeper, Ali, also went well beyond what would be expected to make our stay comfortable and seamless, spoiling us every day with all the personal touches and his beautiful smile. But more than this - perhaps given the proximity to India and Thailand - is the influence of the East. You feel “held” somehow in this spirit of wellness, joy and freedom. The staff become family. The warmth of the smiles all around you, the sincerity of feeling, this hotel genuinely cares about you and your personal experience with them. Special mention to Abdullah - like a little angel of comfort and support he always seemed to appear at the perfect time to bring comfort and support. What a wonderful, joyful man! It is because this hotel cares for its own staff, which is rare and wonderful to see and feel. The Spa also deserves an extra special mention as again, your every physical need is catered for with a plethora of incredible treatments given by top-class practitioners like Anil, Benita and Ecca. As you would expect from a 5 star resort. But, again, it is so much more than a spa. Yoga and meditation are available every day - as much or as little as you would like to do - with daily complimentary sessions. The beautiful spirit that is Sarath Babu overlooks all of it and helped me to reconnect and stabilise at a difficult time in my life. Just a uniquely gifted, generous, wise, caring and insightful man. Even going to the lengths of making me a complimentary, personal meditation recording to take with me on my journey back home. Incredible! With all of this and their respect for nature - and my God the nature they have! It is an just utterly breathtaking location. But is treated with respect and, whilst giving you every material comfort you could want with a “fun and quirky” twist, it is down to earth and simple in approach. Not opulent or gaudy. Which I just loved, Sustainability is given top priority. Not just a marketing tool like so many places. All in all a magical experience that I have taken home with me and will never forget. I will return - with family and also alone - without a doubt. Paradise. Thank you.

The location feels like it has been pulled straight from a postcard. The staff is extremely welcoming and our GEM, Tanny, bent over backwards to help us make the most of our time without any hassle. We had a blast snorkeling, diving (both right off the resort) and surfing with the teams. The head of culinary, Ihaka, went way above and beyond cooking specialized meals for my daughter, who is vegetarian. He also organized a chocolate making session with Mayuri and a pasta making session with Gihan. Both dedicated time and enthusiasm, which made things really special for us.

The Six Senses/Maldives/Laamu is a wonderful hotel which we can highly recommends. Our expectations were exceeded. The island is beautiful, private but also big enough to move. The water villas are a perfect accommodation even for families (two children 10 and 12 years old). You just jump into the water and snorkel. Breakfast (huge choice) and dinner are excellent in all restaurants. You can relax or choose one of the many activities. For us surfing was big fun! Thanks to Fiona, Josh and their team! In addition, we enjoyed the turtle and fishing excursions. The service is above average and very family friendly. All questions are answered and problems are solved immediately. Our GAM Dave was available at all times and helped in several situations. A stunning stay we would repeat at any time at the same place!
