Majestic Palace

I was with a solo party of 25 and the hotel was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful in reception. Bermet and Atake were in the restaurant and were so nice, polite and helpful. Abigail in the bar was lovely. She went over and above for us. The food was very good with lots of choice. There were a few German groups and they obviously don’t know how to queue but that’s a culture difference. Hotel is in the most beautiful spot. Views are wonderful. It takes about 15 mins to walk down to Malcesine and 20 up again, it is a bit of a hill but no problem. The hotel bus went up and down again if they couldn’t take everyone. Our guide told us the heating is switched on by law on 15 October in Italy. I switched it off in my room but it was still very warm at night. I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Great hotel for kids - lots to do! Good food and facilities. Several pools and play areas. Bedrooms are basic but clean and functional. Staff are helpful. Beware at breakfast- they literally turn the coffee machines off at exactly 10am even though still tidying up and still food out.

4 of us stayed in one of the Junior suites for 3 nights, 2 adults 2 kids and have to say this is a great hotel with loads for kids and adults alike. Check in took ages for some reason but you are given tokens for a free welcome glass of prosecco which is a nice touch. The room we stayed in was modern in comparison to the rooms in the main hotel itself and it situated behind the main hotel. For the 4 of us there was one double bed and 2 singles pushed together by the door into the room. All the beds are in the same room. The shower was located in the main room at the back by the separate bathroom which is a bit strange and offered little privacy when showering. Overall the room was great and the beds were very comfortable and the aircon was excellent, there was a mini fridge in the room which was really handy also. The wifi throughout the hotel and grounds is excellent as well which is a big bonus when you have kids with you. There so much to do here for kids with several pools including a kiddies pool which was never crowded. There's mini golf, tennis, several play areas and a ballpit/enclosed play area however this needs a bit of TLC as was quite dusty when our kids went in. There's a very active kids club and kids entertainment every evening also which was great. The gym for adults wasn't really a gym just a few machines but the indoor pool next to the gym was excellent and always empty. The food was OK with lunch being your usual pizza, pasta burgers etc. In the evening you have a choice of just pizzas or salads in the bar or you can pay €23 per adult and €13 per kid for a buffet dinner. We tried the buffet one night and the food was extremely average; chewy pork chops, dry pizza and average beef stroganoff. You are better off sticking to the pizzas in the bar. The breakfast is top notch with a massive selection on order and we enjoyed it every morning. I found service in the bar difficult sometimes with some of the staff not understanding what we were looking for but a special shout out goes to Sarah And Abigail who looked after us really well when we were there. As mentioned in previous reviews location here is not very walking friendly so we relies on taxis most of the time to get into Malcesine, €10 each was for the 7 of us so not bad! Would I stay here again, yes 100%.

We stayed here last summer for a week with our two children - 2 and 4. What a fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean, stunning views, such friendly staff and brilliant breakfast. The things for kids to do are excellent. There’s two pools, trampoline, tennis, mini golf. I love that the trampoline etc is locked and can only be used by one family at a time. It’s nice and quiet and not like a huge resort overrun with screaming kids. Location-wise, I would say you really need a car. I wouldn’t want to have been relying on the shuttle in and out of town and it’s quite a walk. We will definitely return to this hotel in future.

the one star is a reflection of the way the manager treats his guests, the hotel is lovely unless you have a issue, ours was that the air condition unit was leaking & made our room smell like a drain, we had to keep visiting the reception they was ok & eventually said we can move to another room, the Manager then got involved, he became very aggressive & defensive of his hotel, we tried to tell him it wasn't his hotel & he should come up to the room, he then spoke to his staff in Italian then told us he didn't believe my wife. picture below shows proof of engineers working on the unit, they told me the room stuck & there was an issue, 900 euro for 5 nights & not even an apology.

Friendly, stunning scenery, excellent food and drink. Our family room was very comfortable and nothing was a bother to the hotel staff. Kids club very good and inclusive as the hotel is very mixed re clientele. Wonderful stay. Have been twice and would highly recommend.

Stayed here for 7 nights..was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews. My holiday was a bit last minute,and hotel choices were few. Wouldn't have been what I would normally choose, 2 reasons, a bit far from town, and I don't do half board. On my arrival, was very impressed with cleanliness, and staff all very welcoming, polite and professional. I had a superior room ( 319 ) and was very pleased with the large balcony and beautiful lake and mountain views. The room was big ( for 1 ). Breakfast was plentiful, had everything you would need, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, toast, jams, pretty much everything, in a large bright airy restaurant. Not a fan of half board but gave it a try on odd evenings I had paid I suppose. Mixed reviews, starters ok, desserts lovely, wasn't keen on the main dishes, but personal choice. Beer, wine, soft drinks on tap. Great for families around cost. There's a shuttle bus service, but you pay €1. Walking down to the town is doable, walking back up a bit more difficult in heat, but there is a tourist bus which is very handy !!! Overall, I was impressed and would recommend this hotel..

Our second time visiting as family with two boys (17 & 15), the first back in 2019 so we didn't know what to expect as it was our first holiday after covid. But it didn't disappoint, the Majestic Palace really is a wonderful hotel, in a great location about 15/20 min walk to the centre of a really beautiful town called Malcesine. The hotel has everything that you need, outdoor pools and an indoor pool, play area for kids and the surroundings are just spectacular. Plenty of outside room and lots of sunbeds (we had breakfast at 9:30 and there was still lots of sunbeds to use). Food was delicious, we had breakfast and lunch and an odd dinner if we didnt eat in Malcesine. There's a lovely restaurant across the road (mostly meat and another one 5 minutes to the right (pasta and pizza) but what really makes the hotel are its employees. They work so hard to make everyone's stay a good one and they greet you with a smile every day. We had the pleasure of talking with some of the bar staff at night time, they are seasonal workers, some from Italy and some from other Countries, but they are a massive credit to the hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel and would go back to it in a heartbeat. Grazie Mille Majestic Palace.

I came to this hotel with my boyfriends family for his cousins wedding. The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The reception staff were very welcoming upon arrival. The shuttle bus into the centre was very helpful as the hotel is on a hill so it can be quite a hard walk, especially in the heat. We didn’t go all inclusive but we loved the lunch you could buy. Could not fault anything!
