Decided to treat myself after a 2 weeks motorcycle trip in France and Spain. Being in Montélimar I looked for the extraordinary in the region and found this little gem just South of the Nougat capital of the world. The Treasure of the Templars really lives up to its name. A beautiful authentical farmhouse fully restored to its original glory with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The property is surrounded by plenty of green and the vinyards belonging to the property. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by Fabienne and Pierre, the owners and driving forces behind this beautiful place. When the showed me my room (named Gourmandise) I was very pleasantly surprised by the tasteful decoration and arrangement, combining ancient with modern. A spacious living area, desk, large bedroom with another sitting area. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom and is much bigger than usually (although ours is even a little bigger 😉) . Nice little touch: unlike the usual plies or tricks to hold the toilet paper in place here it is fixed with a little sticker with the Templars symbol. The size and quality of it is also beyond the usual. As for the bathroom again a beautifully arrangement with design bath and sink, walk-in shower with rain and hand shower and discrete lights. Needless to say here also a lot of attention to details such as the special soap, vanity kit, gels, lotions, etc. The large king size bed was very comfortable and unlike my usual problem sleeping in a new bed the first night I had no trouble sleeping at all here. Of course the room had airconditioning which was performant but very silent. Internet was powerful with strong signal and high throughput. Excellent! The Treasure has a beautiful pool area which I unfortunately did not use (arrived a little late). I am sure it would not disappoint. Dinner is another highlight. There was a choice of a truffel menu and the 'arrivé du jour'. Both choices are excellent with fresh local ingredients, very balanced taste, a pleasure for the palette and nicely presented. Fabienne - who prepares the menus - certainly has star-worthy skills. The wines with the meals come either from their own domain or from the neighbouring domains (his friends as Pierre states). The wine from Pierre easily can be compared with the better wines in the region. Obviously the card has some other fine wines from well-known houses as well as a selection of fine champagnes. As for breakfast again the focus is on local and home-made with nice confitures, real honey (not the cheap stuff from you local supermarket) and a fine choice of cheese and charcuterie. As for the value, well, it is in a higher price category than most hotels (a classification I find difficult to use for the The Treasure) in the area. However, none of them offer this level of comfort, taste, peace and level of attention to your needs. Le dîner était une merveille, Fabienne est une grande cuisinière, très créative, c’était à la fois original et sans artifice, tout simplement délicieux. L’hôtel est une demeure ancienne superbement restaurée. La belle déco des chambres, les éclairages indirects, la literie de très bonne qualité, tout est beau et confortable, à la fois luxueux et sans ostentation. A l’évidence Fabienne et Pierre aiment prendre soin de leurs hôtes, ils mettent beaucoup de coeur à l’ouvrage, c’est assez rare pour être signalé et chaleureusement recommandé !

Très bel hotel aux chambres spacieuses et fort bien décorées. Les hôtes sont absolument charmants. Nous y avons pris le diner qui était délicieux à partir de produits frais du marché. Nous avons aussi profité de notre terrasse privée après une journée de tourisme. La partie piscine est magnifique toutefois ce mois de mai capricieux n'est pas propice aux plaisirs d'une baignade. Nous reviendrons dans ce lieu pour profiter dans son intégralité de cet endroit et des alentours qui fourmille de mille choses à visiter.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans ce charmant petit hôtel. Nous étions 4 collègues et nous avons donc pris presque l’ensemble des chambres car il n’y a que 5 chambres au total. Elles ont toutes une décoration différente et atypique mais il y a tout ce dont nous avions besoin. C’est parfait vous êtes au calme. Nous avons profité du restaurant le 1er soir à l’extérieur c’était très bien après un long voyage. Ainsi qu’un petit plouf le 1er soir. La piscine n’est pas très grande mais le coin est très bien aménagé et intimiste.. y prendre l’apéro vous donne un air de vacances. Petit dej copieux il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Préparé à ta table, donc on déjeune au calme et pas dans un brouhaha de salle d’hôtel. Sur 4 nous étions unanimes c’était parfait et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Très bel endroit que l'on ne trouve pas par hasard... Dans notre cas ce sont des amis qui nous ont recommandé cet établissement. Le temps malheureusement ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine. La chambre que nous occupions était spacieuse et la déco moderne. Mention spécial pour le très grand lit qui s'est avéré très agréable. La cuisine est bonne et les plats bien présentés. L'accueil est aimable. Bref une belle étape. Bravo!

Nous avons réservé une chambre et dîné sur place. Que dire ?… Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation. Accueil très agréables, des chambres décorées avec goût, un repas à la truffe superbe. Du vin et une ambiance qui fait que l’on se sent très bien. N’hésitez pas à vous arrêter.

Nous avions la chambre Mirage, très grande chambre très agréable avec baignoire et douche à l’italienne, la cour intérieure était féerique, très belle piscine, tant l’extérieur que l’intérieur sont décorés avec goût, très bel équilibre, un endroit qui vaut le détour. Petit shop avec produits locaux et des produits Durance parfums d intérieur et bougies. Encore un grand merci pour votre accueil et à la prochaine fois

Établissement exceptionnel et doté d’un accueil extrêmement chaleureux. La qualité d’un 4etoiles dans l’âme d’une chambre d’hôte.
