Hotel Osejava

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful! However, it was a pity the hair dryer had a connection problem:-(

Second time here in 8 years , arrived after dark , so got settled into our room and unpacked , but the AC was set to 26degrees so a bit uncomfortable , spoke with reception and was informed that AC is set for winter time and only option was for them to disconnect our room which we were happy with , opted for our meal to be served in the A’Lacart restaurant , we settled off a Caesar Salad for my wife and a Panko Chicken and Gorgonzola sauce, both excellent all washed down with a nice white wine. We went BB this visit as last time done 1/2 Board and we wanted to experience the local good establishments , but a very nice comfortable hotel , my only gripe is that it doesn’t have its own bar as such and relies on the cake / coffee shop attached to serve alcohol , but this closes nightly at 22.00 hrs making the need to frequent other establishments .

Hotel Osejava exceeded expectations. Beautiful Hotel. Everywhere was immaculate, staff so very helpful & friendly. We were upgraded to larger suite as we had accidentally been allocated wrong room on arrival and asked to move after first night( result!) The views and stylish decor were a treat. A little noise from party boat late night but nice to hear people enjoying themselves and nothing earplugs couldn’t sort out. Extremely helpful professional staff & very impressed reception helped me access a doctor when started feeling unwell with infected foot ( arrived within 10 mins) Breakfasts were plentiful and alot of variety( can order omelettes etc too) set on lovely terrace overlooking harbour. Waitresses were all so smiley 😁 friendly & obliging. The location is perfect a short walk from bars and restaurants. ( some excellent quality meals out ) the hotel restaurant and next door tempera street food were top notch too so recommended for foodies! The only downside is the pool area is quite small and there should be a few more sunbeds put out( 4 more wouldn’t be overcrowded ) and there was definitely a shortage for amount of guests. The beach next door is busy & pebbly( beach shoes needed) but they do have reduced price sunbeds for hotel guests ( still expensive at €20 for 2 €28 for non guests) Makarska is picturesque. The beach is walk around bay and also quite busy ( a lot of people bought padded fold up beds for €15. Old town streets are lovely. Wonderful sunset from Bounty restaurant on beach. Don’t hesitate booking this classy hotel. We loved it!

hotel was a luxury.soon has we walked toward hotel the view over harbour was stunning ,walked to reception lovely welcome .our room was stunning ,could not fault anything .plenty of room .food excellent ,we went half board ,what amazing food ,preentation good quality,waiters was charming ,good resturants around and plenty of bars,well where back there next year ,

The hotel is just beautiful. We had a sea view room and the scenery is spectacular. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotless. We went half board and instead of the usual scrum at a buffet we ate in the harbour facing restaurant with a choice of starter, main and pudding from the full menu. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast as served outdoors with again beautiful views of the town. Small swimming pool but never crowded and also a lovely coffee bar at the front of the hotel. There were a number of ' fun boats" moored near the hotel which could be quite noisy but never rowdy and they seemed to stop around midnight. Al in all a great place to stay

The views and staff are brilliant and the rooms are impeccably clean. The reason I’ve scored this hotel a low score is it’s very noisy. Because it is located on the side of the marina which is stunning. On multiple occasions we were woken up and on all occasions we had the windows closed and air conditioning on. The bar across the marina 1st night ended at 11pm but not helpful when you’re trying to get some sleep for long trip to Mostar the next day. 2nd night, Marina staff jet washing the marina at 6am (which is out of the control of the hotel). 4th night, gardener mowing and strimming the lawns at 06:30am. We asked the if we could move rooms which they we’re very obliging and we moved to the back of the hotel overlooking the country park, perfect we thought. Then our last evening we were awoken by a couple having a lovers tiff outside our bedroom window, icing on the cake. The hotel is in a great location to explore Makarska and we would recommend the Tempera restaurant adjacent reasonably priced and exceptional quality and the staff a delight. So if you don’t mind noise or have ear plugs. You’ll enjoy the views, breakfast and facilities.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing setting. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, the room was lovely and the staff were so kind and helpful. The location of this hotel is fantastic, so close to all the bars and restaurants. You will not be disappointed booking this beautiful hotel and we will definitely be back.

Checked into this stunning hotel, gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and told us everything we needed to know-smooth check in. They had upgraded us to a sea view which was perfect. The room was on the fourth floor, room 411, absolutely stunning view from our room. The bed was comfortable, bathroom a good size. Breakfast was a fair choice of and selections. Staff very pleasant again. Such a beautiful hotel for me the perfect location on the harbour and right on the beach. Views fabulous all round. Will surely be visiting this hotel again.

Fabulous location and although a very small hotel it was 5* the attention to detail everywhere was outstanding. The breakfast was really good and so much choice. Our room was huge and we had a Juliet balcony overlooking the harbour. The view takes your breath away. The town and beach walks are stunning too and the ferry is located just along from the hotel.
