Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp is a wonderful place to experience Maasai culture. It is located in a beautiful part of Kenya, with great views of the savannah. The camp is simple but comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. Visitors can join activities like learning Maasai crafts, listening to stories, and going on nature walks with Maasai warriors. It’s a special and memorable experience, perfect for anyone who loves culture and nature.

This is an absolutely fantastic way to experience the Maasai culture. The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. The overnight in the bush was a truly unique experience. Sleeping under the stars with the sounds of the animals echoing through the air! Amazing!

Very nice campsite, shady, under acacia trees and euphorpia candelabre. Clean ablution block with hot water from the maji moto source. Young and friendly staff with which we spend the evening talking about Masai life around the bone fire.

Our stay at the Masai cultural camp was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Both our 11 year old son and 14 year old daughter absolutely loved the experience! Now they keep asking us to visit different tribes around the world. ;) They remember everyone's names and talk about everyone in the camp as if they were their friends because they felt so welcomed by everyone. The hut was super cute and comfortable, the food was amazing and every night they set up dinner at a different surprise location on their amazing grounds. This felt like a genuine experience where you could learn about their culture and traditions and not a tourist trap. Chief Salaton is an amazing leader for the community and Susan( his wife) is lovely! There's another copy cat camp that's been getting a lot of attention lately on social media, but they are not run by the masai and I'm not sure if they give back to the local community. Maji Moto is the way to go and we're so happy we went with them!

What an exceptional experience! We so very much enjoyed our visit with Salaton and Susan! This was the highlight of our safari adventure to Kenya. If you want an extraordinary, authentic, family feel place this is a must visit. Thank you to all the wonderful staff including Rose, who shared her life with us and for the chef who taught us how to make chapati and little fried donuts! Can’t wait to return💕

A big family party (12 of us) stayed 3 nights at Maji Moto (Cultural Camp) in September 2024. From the moment we arrived, we were really looked after (great accommodation - even better food!), entertained and educated (great fun and great insight into the Masai people. Highlights included a visit to the local school and market, and sitting around the fire at night with the Chief, listening to Masai songs. BUT ALSO the day safari to the Masai Mara was unmissable - we saw most of the big 5 up close. If you’re going safari, it should be with Masai warriors right!

The place not has amazing facilities but the warm welcome dance from the maasai the tour of the facility the amazing food which is sought from their farms,the guided cultural hike with a sundowner ,the warm staff and the amazing views...Maji moto cultural camp is a home away from home.💕

The camp exceeded all my expectations! There was an abundance of activities to enjoy, including traditional dances and an exhilarating hike to the Loita Hills. The food portions were generous and satisfying, while the accommodation was exceptionally comfortable. I stayed in a tent equipped with a proper bed, a plush mattress, and cozy bedding—everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort. Chief Salaton, Susan, and the entire team at the camp were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even more memorable. I can’t wait to come back again!

We stayed there for 2 nights. It was amazing. The whole team was very welcoming. We felt welcome from the first moment. The food was amazing and after the dinner under the stars we stayed around the fireplace and listed to the "storytelling / singing" of the Maasai. We visited the nearby village and brought some footballs and small gifts for the children. We stayed in a hut with no water or bath room, and got used to it very quick. We defintely will be back!
