What an amazing place!! The staff are so incredibly welcoming especially Valentina on reception and Pina at breakfast, who never seems to have any time off. She is a delight and the perfect person for the breakfast shift. We were lucky enough to request room 47 and my goodness what a find. The views were exceptional!! The room is clean but basic. Would 100% recommend returning!

Stayed here for a week in August with my husband after spending hours on Trip Advisor reading excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our review differs and we're still at a loss about other people's positive experiences. Location: Hotel is situated opposite the beach taking floors 4-6 above a busy and popular pizza restaurant. 1-3 floors are for residents. We booked a partial sea view which we received. Room: Accessed via a small lift. Our room had an upgraded bathroom compared to others but room was extremely small in size and very basic. It was challenging navigating moving around and climbing over cases was frustrating and challenging. Please see video. One case was able to be placed by the side after unpacking ,the other we had to climb over daily and keep the clothes in there due to limited space. Two sockets that had to cater for travel iron, straighteners and phone chargers was another thing we found annoying. The air conditioning which was noisy and was turned off daily via reception resulted in unbearable heat once we came back. Again, leave it for us to organise instead of stopping- we'd paid enough for the holiday without doing without a necessity. The full sun shining through,36 degrees outside and hotel turns off the only attraction that made us tolerate the temperature. We spoke to the Tui Rep at our welcome meeting regarding our complaint and the hotel kindly offered us a different room to view. It was slightly larger in size but had the original basic bathroom so wasn't worth the swap. We then felt like contestants on A Place in the Sun as hotel offered us another room up the road to view but location was too far away. Breakfast: Breakfast was on the terrace but poor. Please see photos to show the variety or lack of. Experience: We were all woken up at 7.00am by a loud telephone on the corridor ringing 3 times to announce breakfast was open. No chance of a relaxing sleep after hearing loud music from local bars until 1am. Breakfast was lacking in variety or freshness but was served by the loveliest lady who raced around after everyone. Towels were changed daily and beds made . We've stayed in several places in Italy and have never experienced such basic, small accommodation or poor quality food. Bitterly disappointed.

We favour smaller family run hotels - and Hotel Sole proved to be perfect for us. It is very well managed, spotlessly clean, superb food and cocktail bar. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. They offer their own private beach just opposite. It is an excellent location for excursions - we took in Pompeii and Capri. Cristiana and Valentina will organise anything for you. The town has all you need in terms of shops, bars and restaurants.

Wonderful accomodation at a beautiful beachside! Highly recommended! All the staff is so nice and friendly, the room was spacious and so clean, well equipped. Unbreatable view in the breakfast area, Christina is super friendly and helpful! We had a lovely stay in Hotel Sole, Maiori.

Simply brilliant, everything you could possibly need from a holiday, hotel perfect location, restaurant exceptional, 6th floor terrace out of this world, beach with bar the best, a tip always book your place it’s a very popular beach/bar, the staff are so polite/professional and always approachable, just a great hotel run by a great family with great staff, thank you all at sole. 🌞

This hotel is a diamond in the rough! We booked a 2 week holiday via TUI and are not disappointed, in actual fact we are really chuffed with our choice of hotel for our 1st holiday on the Amalfi coast. The hotel sits above probably one of the best restaurants in Maiori, the food is just sublime, it truly is! There are 2 floors, numbers 5 and 6, we are actually in an individual room, number 47 which is on the rooftop and we have an entire 360 degree rooftop terrace all to ourselves, the views are just mind blowing and lots of space to chill out after a day exploring. The room itself is spacious with a double bed, large wardrobe, shower, toilet, bidet and even a washing machine which we've actually used for our smalls, oh and there's even a fridge and a TV, although all channels are Italian. The room is kept clean and bed made with towel change every day if needed. We don't have a single complaint. Breakfast on the terrace every morning with a great selection 👌 omelettes, crispy bacon, lots of different filled croissant cake biscuits, juice, and a great bean to cup coffee machine 😋. The terrace also hosts a bar around 5pm serving some great top shelf spirits as well as house spirits if on a budget. The restaurant 😍 is just fantastic 👌 the food the drink and the service from the very attentive staff. This hotel is just amazing it truly is. Oh, not forgetting the hotel has a lido, beach bar and sun loungers across the Rd. The loungers are fairly priced and food is good. We have only just completed our 1st week here and have another week to go but felt I just had to write this review. One other reason for booking here is the location it just makes the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi coast, with a great bus route bus stop directly outside the hotel and ferries to every single destination on the coast. Its also very close to Salerno where the trains leave to Pompeii and Naples. To us booking this hotel was a no brainer and we're so glad we did.

Just back from a wonderful week in Maiori. We enjoyed our stay at the Sole hotel very much. The room was very basic, but very comfortable and clean. Rooms cleaned daily. An amazing view from our room overlooking the sea and the mountains. An even better view from the terrace where we enjoyed a good breakfast each morning and a cocktail bar at night to watch the sun go down . The restaurant on the ground floor was very good. We had tried others near by but the Sole was by far the best. Service was good in the restaurant and very lovely helpful staff throughout the hotel. The perfect location to visit the Amalfi coastline.

What a lovely hotel, the staff were so helpful, Christiana & Valentino could not help you enough for any needs that we required they and their team are a credit to the hotel. We had the most beautiful room with amazing views, if you are fortunate enough to stay here room 47 is a real treat.
