Hotel San Pietro

We stayed for 3 nights here after 7 nights in Sorrento . It was lovely to experience Maiori - a beautiful place with good ferry links for getting to see other places . We had a warm friendly greeting by a young man who spoke good English - he gave us lots of useful information. The room was small but had all we needed . It was exceptionally clean (gleaming beautiful floor tiles ! ) . Bathroom was spotless - really good . Again fairly small but all you need . A powerful hairdryer (in bathroom attached to the wall) , shower , bidet as well . Clean fresh soft towels and plenty of them . We had a room overlooking the pool (no balcony but there are lots of balcony rooms - for our last 3 nights we didn’t mind ) . We could see the mountains too . The buildings (apar**ents ? ) opposite looked very rustic shall we say . Buffer breakfast was fine , not a huge selection but ok - limited to cold meat , cheese , scrambled eggs, boiled eggs , yogurt , fruit , cakes and pastries. Pots of tea and coffee served and fresh juice . Tables all laid out very nice with your room number on . We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful, could not fault them . The poolside is fine it was quiet when we were there - there is a deep pool for proper swimming and a small children’s pool . The location of the hotel is very good - a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the seafront and the ferries . (Hotel can provide ferry timetables) . Finally - I would recommend this hotel (a balcony room would be best for a longer stay ) . As we had an early airport transfer - I was thrilled with the gluten free breakfast bag they were able to provide me for me - grazie mille !

We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was an excellent choice. Firstly we booked a twin room and we got a room with 2 bedrooms. Never had that before. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job. Breakfast is lovely with lots of choice of eggs, ham, cheese, bread, pastries etc. The 2 members of staff who attend the restaurant are very good. The pool area is lovely with comfortable sun beds. It was very quiet which we liked. The pool is very cold. The poolside restaurant serves lovely lunches and the staff again are very friendly. The location is also good about 10 minute walk from the seafront. Maiori itself is the flatest town on the Amalfi Coast. It's a lot quieter than other towns and a lot cheaper for eating and drinking out. The bus service is excellent, if not a little scary if sat in the front seats, to get around and we also used the ferry. We would highly recommend this hotel and this town

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the seafront, most of the walk along a pedestrian street with shops, cafe etc. The hotel is a bit dated, but the staff were really helpful and friendly. We booked a double room and got a room with 2 bedrooms, large bathroom, small balcony overlooking the pool. Very clean. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to staff shortage. Breakfast was ok. Maiori is not as crowded as Amalfi, and also a bit cheaper, it’s very easy to get to coast villages by boat.

Stayed in a two bedroom apar**ent overlooking the pool. As others have said the apar**ent is huge. Very clean and comfortable. Short walk to the town, beach shops restaurants and bars. The apar**ent is reasonably well equipped but there’s no microwave or dishwasher. There was a small balcony but no balcony furniture. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were very efficient as was the air conditioning in the living area. The kitchen and bathrooms in my opinion are long overdue for an upgrade but that said they are perfectly functional and clean. The pool and pool area was lovely, plenty of sun loungers for all, the pool area was very quiet most of the time. Enjoyed the pool bar and had a couple of nice lunches there. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place as a good base for exploring the Amalfi coast. Always good to return to Maiori after a day visiting the busier places such as Amalfi. I would recommend ferries rather than buses for getting around. I would stay here again.

Went there as part of wife's birthday celebrations, after an hour transfer from Naples airport didn't know what to expect but was more than pleasantly surprised. Family run hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff you could wish for. Hotel was fantastic always clean and tidy. We ate at poolside a few time and we pleasantly surprised by quality of the food. We to a family run restaurant recommended by the hotel owners and wasn't disappointed. Fantastic experience, lovely and helpful staff would love to return one day.

Stayed here for a week family 2 adults 2 teenagers. Upon booking requested a pool view on arrival really late we were given a room at front of hotel no power was on so no air con had been on so it was like walking into a sauna. Very noisey on the main road traffic does not stop at all spoke to reception next day they said we could move in 2 days. The apar**ents are huge with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms lounge kitchen and hallway only downside 2nd bedroom only has a ceiling fan no aircon. This first room also had bad electrics the power tripped every 15 mins spoke to reception they were quite rude and said had too much plugged in but only had aircons and fans plugged in 😤 2nd room was much quieter as couldn’t here the road. Clean rooms but we never had a cleaner come into our room once, maybe this is because we moved on day 3 but even so no towels etc were changed. The weekends local people come in to use the pool area and friends of the hotel so on the Saturday and Sunday this was extremely busy and all sunloungers were taken up the staff ran round after these people so the ones staying kind of got forgot about and couldn’t get a bed if came later in the day. Saying that the week days by the pool there was no problem loads of spare loungers. The pool bar staff lads worked so hard and never stopped even after having a accident they were in working hard. Great mid-range Hotel. 10 minutes walk to the sea front. There is a free shuttle bus but we never used it as the walk was easy. Very clean. Nice breakfast with plenty of fresh pastries. Large pool and bar/cafe for chill days. Location is perfect for visiting the main attractions in the area. Use the bus and boat not a hire car as the roads are crazy with nowhere to park. Scenery is spectacular.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apar**ent with our 2 children and it was really spacious and clean. All the staff were friendly and really helpful. We only ate at the pool bar but the food was really good and reasonably priced. Short 10 minutes walk to the beach but we liked that as it was nice and quite. The pool area is lovely and we could always get a sunbed and found the kids pool great for our little ones as most of the pools in Italy are really deep! Just be careful as the floor by the pool gets really hot! Great base for visiting the almafi cost without paying a fortune for accommodation and food. We will be returning for sure.

We loved our stay here. There were a few reviews saying the hotel was dated but we found that our room, 214, was modern and really spacious. We had a balcony which looked over the tennis courts and the meon groves behind the hotel which was beautiful. When we booked it said there was WiFi in public areas but we also had WiFi in our room which was a nice surprise There was a good array of food at breakfast and although dinner was a little limited the food was delicious. The staff at the hotel were all very nice and helpful. We stayed from 20th-27th of June which was a great time to stay as up until our final day or was very quiet around the pool. Easy to grab a sunlounger and go for a swim. On our final day there were quite a few more guests but the staff by the pool were very helpful as they grabbed us a couple of sun loungers so we could sit together. We loved the location of the hotel. It is under 10 minutes to a big street with lots of caffes and restaurants on and around 10 mins to the beach. Although it is a bit of a walk it was preferable to staying by the beach as the area was nice and quiet. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back one day.
