Fergus Club Mallorca Waterpark

We stayed at Fergus Waterpark for one week at the end of August 2025 — two adults and two children under 12. Check-in was a good start. The gentleman at reception was friendly, welcoming, and set a positive tone. While we waited an hour for our room to be ready, we explored and tried the buffet. It was busy but manageable — food was decent, drinks service fairly quick, and the children were immediately in awe of the waterslides. When we finally got to our room on the second floor, we were initially pleased. It had two rooms, a big balcony overlooking the pool, and a simple but modern look. Sadly, the positives ended when we noticed the cleaning hadn’t been done properly. Hair across the bathroom and bedroom floors, mould on the shower sealant, and a poorly patched ceiling from an old leak suggested standards were being missed. Pulling out the extra bed for our youngest revealed an old sheet left behind by a previous guest — not what you’d expect from a four-star hotel. The pools and slides were the main attraction, and the kids loved them. But after a few days, the upkeep really showed its weaknesses. Used plasters, empty bottles, broken pool toys, and tissues or napkins were often left scattered around the poolside. It gave the impression that cleaning staff simply couldn’t keep up. The general atmosphere also wasn’t what we’d hoped for. The buffet could feel chaotic, with unsupervised young children running through the dining area while people carried hot food. Around the resort, we witnessed some uncomfortable behaviour — children vaping, arguments between parents, drinks being tipped out for games. This isn’t the fault of staff directly, but a stronger staff presence may have helped set expectations. At times, it felt more like a budget family holiday camp than a four-star international resort. Entertainment in the evenings was very mixed. The Queen tribute was enjoyable thanks to the energy of the performers, but most nights felt like low-cost filler — karaoke, staff-led skits, and shows clearly aimed at very young children. The staff tried hard, but it often felt amateur and repetitive rather than professional entertainment. Service at the bars was another sticking point. Waiting 20–30 minutes for a drink became the norm by midweek, which is frustrating when you’re meant to be relaxing. Our daughter queued 15 minutes just for a slushy. Similarly, sunloungers were “reserved” from 6.30am with towels, meaning you had to either join in or miss out. Not exactly a relaxed poolside vibe. On the plus side, the food overall was good. The buffet offered plenty of choice, even if it did become repetitive by the end of the week, and the pizza and burger vans were a great addition for a quick bite after the pool. The buffet staff in particular were excellent — quick to clear tables, friendly, and efficient. In summary, Fergus Waterpark has potential, but for us it didn’t deliver a four-star experience. A lovely hotel, rooms were cleaned each day, staff were lovely, friendly and thorough. Entertainment was good, pools were clean. On windy days there was some scattered litter, which cleaning crews tidied. Although I do feel guests should take more responsibility. As a guest with a disability, the hotel was accessible and even had a pool lift if required. The only issues we had were that the food wasn’t hot, if you que’d at the back serving area it was marginally hotter than the island serving areas. Choice was good but the restaurant area could be bigger for the number of guests. The other thing was sun beds. People were sleeping on them early morning and leaving towels out early doors. We tried the same one day and our towels got moved after 40mins, because we hadn’t been back, which in theory would work great if it was regulated better. Overall good hotel, we enjoyed our holiday, but not sure if it’s worthy of 4 stars.

We'd put off booking for a few weeks due to seeing lots the negative reviews but we didn't have any issues. Pools / water park are great. Food is repetitive as always with All Inclusive but to a good standard. Alcoholic drinks were all decent and quick service. Staff friendly. Rooms cleaned everyday. Hotel is in a quiet location, about 10 min walk to Magaluf main streets and the beach. Evening entertainment very average. Biggest issue is pools very popular and sunbeds in good spots are gone by 8.30am, pool staff try and remove towels if no one using them but everyone is doing this so difficult to manage, but I'm up at 7am anyway so no issue for us. Overall happy to recommend.

This hotel was advertised as 4-star but was closer to 2-star at best. Rooms were dirty, uncomfortable, and unsafe – door locks didn’t work properly and our toddler managed to get out onto the balcony and into the corridor unattended. Beds were just singles pushed together which were creaky and uncomfortable, the bathroom was tiny with poor-quality amenities. The food was inedible, often undercooked, and drinks were watered down. Plates and cups were chipped, and cleanliness across the hotel was shocking – dirty lifts, dirty pool area/water, unsafe pool tiles that cut our children’s feet, and overcrowded pool areas with no available sunbeds. Staff were unhelpful throughout, and when we raised concerns, nothing was done. After just 24 hours we had to leave and pay out of pocket for new flights and transport home. This was meant to be a family holiday, but it turned into a stressful, unsafe, and expensive ordeal. Absolutely not the standard Jet2 advertised.

We stayed at FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark from August 4 to 12, 2025, as a family of four. We paid €4000 for this stay, and honestly, the experience was far below expectations. ✅ What was acceptable: – Reception staff were polite – General cleanliness was fine – Housekeeping staff were kind and hardworking ❌ What went wrong: – The pool was clean in the morning but filthy by midday, with no visible cleaning – Strong chemical smells from the pool reached our room on the upper floor – Not enough sun loungers for the number of guests – Food was repetitive and uninspired: burgers, fries, pasta, sugary drinks every day. No healthy options for kids. – Not a single paella served during the entire week — in Spain! – Salads were drowned in sauce, and ingredients didn’t seem fresh – Churros were poorly made — dense and tasteless. They should seriously rethink the recipe – Entertainment was minimal: about 30 minutes a day, with no atmosphere – Wi-Fi barely worked throughout the stay – No transport options offered by the hotel except taxis — no shuttle, no public transport info For a hotel that claims to be 4-star and charges premium rates, this was a major letdown. We expected much better. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

The hotel certainly doesn't deserve a 4-star rating. The Itaka offer doesn't mention that the hotel is divided into "better" and "worse" sections, i.e., the Magnus and Fergus zones. The price of the Fergus offer doesn't reflect the hotel's offerings. The hotel is very crowded and noisy. Upon arrival, we were given a room with a view of the stage/party until 11 PM, and then there were shouting partygoers... despite requesting a room in a quiet area, we were given a room with a view of the stage instead of the pool. After two days of intervention, we managed to change rooms. The rooms were superficially cleaned, the balcony floor wasn't cleaned throughout our stay, and we had to ask for a change of towels. In the morning, there was a fight for a sunbed. The rooms are supposedly renovated, but don't expect a 4-star standard. The restaurant has a very unpleasant smell... the atmosphere is like a fair - the food is very average, everything is fried... the same every day. I admit, the children didn't want to eat. The all-inclusive option is very poor. Snacks and pizza are the same every day. Alcohol... like water :) Magnus guests definitely have a wider selection. Better rooms, better restaurants, more peaceful views. Pros: proximity to the beach, large rooms, attractions for children, close to the city center and the airport, friendly service. I'll say this again for Mallorca, but I won't be returning to this hotel.
