HSM Don Juan

Although is a 3 star hotel, overall is acceptable. Friendly staff at reception: Rebeca, Isabel, Igor. Restaurant staff also super: Charli, Monica, Magali, Benito, Luis, Juana, Juan, excelent attitude and service. Only problem is that pool not so safe to be in and enjoy time if you're going with small children, other guests play very aggressively ball and hit me in the head. Lifeguard Juan is amazing but he is off at 6pm and after this time no one to regulate awful guests behavior. Walls of rooms very thin and since 5am next door guest shouting and fighting each other ain't the nice way to begin your day. But outside that, hotel is clean, food at buffet is amazingly tasty! Hard to get a smile from cook José, weird since hotel industry is about service, he seemed annoyed when i asked about what the croquettes were madr of and cranky, as if answering food questions was so hard. Beach and bus stop are very close which for me as person with mobility issues due to health problems was very helpful. For sure we will come back! :) Thank you for all

Not one to normally write a review but this needed to be shared so others avoid booking. Hotel from hell, no idea how this even has a 3star rating, I would give it zero if I could. Arrived at midnight and went to room- we got put on a family floor even though we are young adults and are in magaluf, we didn’t come to be told to be quiet after 11? Phoned mum on arrival and got a knock at the door to be told to be quiet? We were not by any means making any loud noises as it was just normal talking levels, we were scared to talk after this and made small talk which we then got another noise complaint to the door again. Room condition wasn’t anything like in photos, no white bedsheets, marks on walls, mirrors, light in room didn’t work and neither did the balcony one, the balcony one is controlled by the reception so you can only go on it when they decide, balcony floor was also absolutely disgusting with stains on it. Only one key was giving out as-well which I had never experienced before, we bought a safe key and didn’t get our money back because we didn’t have the receipt they gave us but they didn’t tell us this when purchasing but we had the key itself ?Cleaners are absolutely shocking and in-fact cleaned our room while we were sleeping this included hoovering and turning shower on! They would also just walk in and out of room as they wished which would scare us as we didn’t expect it and didn’t even get a knock! We had our do not come in we are sleeping sign on but this was no use as they came in anyway making us not feel very safe! Food is absolutely appalling and has about 5 dishes at a push to offer, most we didn’t even enjoy. Bread and butter was our dinner most nights, breakfast was no better. The pool was a reasonable pool size but was very dirty on the bottom and around , it was often ruined by the loud music they would play that no one seemed to enjoy as people would put there on own which we didn’t mind but if they played enjoyable music instead of music with no words then 3 different groups wouldn’t need to play speaker over pool. Pool side bar was absolutely appalling I asked for a margarita pizza and basically got cheese on toast , they would also forget you ordered meaning you had to go back up a few times to ask how long it would be. Hotel allowed reps in which harassed you by the pool to buy tickets and wouldn’t stop until you did or until you told them multiple times you didn’t want ( these tickets were more expensive than what you pay on the door so don’t fall for it !) Overall really disappointed with this hotel and it has put us off magaluf as a whole and we will not be returning.

The hotel is perfect and clean with only a 5 minute walk away to the beach! The rooms are cleaned every day with towels changed and new sheets which was ideal. The pool was quiet and nice and the entertainment team were really good !! the only complain would be that we were not allowed tap water with our dinner. We had paid for breakfast and dinner at the hotel which had exceptional choices and breakfast we were allowed fruit juices, tea, coffee and water etc however at dinner we were denied tap water and told we had to buy drinks. When we explained it was a legal requirement to be allowed tap water or to at least bring our own we were not allowed and told off. Considering you are alloweed water at breakfast I don’t see why we couldn’t have it at dinner too. Other than that a perfect stay

Decent choice for reasonable value for money. Staff were all pleasant. Nothing outstanding, but again for the price (around £70 a night half-board), wasn't expected. Reasonable choice of cuisine at breakfast and evening meal, although I personally didn't find to much that appealed on the desert section. Room was cleaned and tidied every day. Although sometimes it was mid afternoon before this was done. Decent size pool and plenty of sunbeds. Other activities available poolside, including pool and table tennis. 24 hour reception. Worth considering, although do bear in mind that the location isn't far from the nightlife and as such you may get people returning from that during the early hours, as we did on more than one occasion.

Rooms Rooms clean. Cleaned daily. Fresh towels . . Cleaner on 3rd floor absolutely lovely! Full bath. Power shower(better than my home one) Spacious bathroom . Hairdryer ( although it’s one of those hold down button jobs) it wasn’t awful. Hand wash and body wash . All useful . Walls very thin. Could hear the man in the room next door talking to Russia every night and the person in Russia replying. You can hear the toilets in the room next door and above flush! If you are very noise sensitive this is not the place for you. External noise from outside limited at night by double glazed patio doors but be warned the hotel across the road is rowdy and lots of noise - comes from when the wild kids wake in the afternoon after their nights out on bar street!. That hotel really needs to control it guests abit more as it does impact the guest at Don Juan Again noise sensitive people ask for a pool facing. Take ear plugs too. Food The dining staff - absolutely brilliant, welcoming , friendly. Charlie is lovely . Team nice and polite . But the hot plate chef not so friendly. Angry miserable chap. Shouldn’t be customer facing if he’s not good with people. The food selection Breakfast was fine for me, eggs , toast , cheese, coffee! Nice selections of pastries etc Dinner - up and down . I feel there should have been a wider selection of meats and cheese at dinner. No everyone loves fish, chips or meat in gravy. Salad selection was good but there should have been more cold meats or fish or cheese on offer with the salad if you didn’t fancy the hot meat selection Desert however, was a miserable affair and disappointing most nights. Ice cream was good but you can’t got wrong with that . The rest was not really what I have grown accustomed to on half board . Over all I would like to have seen more options of every day for white Meats , cheese and improved desserts - however I didn’t go hungry . But I was , on some night’s, disappointed by what was on offer. Bar There’s no bar food except crisps and full board are expected to go to the hotel down the road. This wasn’t an option for us on half board so I would like to see more snacks made available for people , such as sandwiches or simple cold tapas . Not that’s hard. Price wise not different in prices for cocktails then the bars serving cocktails within the vicinity of the hotel. Entertainment Wasn’t wonderful. But you make of it what you will. We didn’t come to be entertained and the animation team did try and get people involved Overall This hotel is in a quieter part of Magaluf ( with the of its rowdy neighbour) , it does cater for families and couples , yes there are single sex groups but they mostly appear to cater for a crowd looking for a different experience. If I had one moan it would be that regardless of having a medical condition if you need to keep your medication cold - you have to pay for fridge hire. Yes, they do offer the keep insulin in fridge in

Very kind staff, great food, great service. Very friendly price, clean surroundings, calm but busy enough place. Beach is 5 minutes walking. We went there with our 4 years old kid and he loved the pool.
