Apartamentos Sol y Vera

Short stay (5 nights) break. Wasn't expecting a lot as it's classed as 2 star. Accommodation is basic, clean and well serviced. Reception staff are friendly and the pool, albeit small, is warm enough to plunge straight in without taking your breath away. The only draw backs...fridge in room had no shelves in door, the location is a mecca for groups of young adults partying. Far enough away from the main partying area to be unaffected by the noise of the clubs but close enough if you do want to party. The downside is it was rather noisy at unsociable hours.

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We booked through jet 2 and was going with an open mind about the hotel, due to location etc. The hotel is located about a 5-10 min walk from the main night life strip, but with a handful of bars right next door, as well as some lovely restaurants and shops on your door step. Absolutely cracking location and not to noisy at all. Hotel check in was quick and easy by a lovely man. Tourist tax was paid and we were given our keys. We were on the 8th floor, so beautiful views. Room was 1 bed apartment, with free safe, wardrobe and twin beds in bedroom. Bathroom had shower. Main room and kitchen very well catered, even providing washing up liquid, sponge and kitchen towel (never had this in a 4 star). English channels on the tv too. The room was very clean and modern and the bed was the comfiest I have ever stopped in abroad. The pool was very quite and chilly as not had time to warm up, lifeguard on all day. No pool bar but I took my own drinks for the afternoon. This hotel is a little gem and I most certainly will return again.

My friends and I have been to Magaluf many times but this is the first time we have stayed at the Sol Y Vera - suffice to say we will definitely be returning next year! The apartments are clean, spacious and fully equipped. Whilst we were there I had cause to go to Reception (I needed 2 extra pillows and the TV wasn't working) The staff were very friendly and helpful and all was sorted swiftly. These apartments are excellent value for money, comfortable, clean and located perfectly for the bars and beach. One thing to consider, there are notices everywhere saying they don’t tolerate parties and loud noise after a certain time so if you are planning on partying 24/7 this may not be the location for you. If, like us, you appreciate the quiet at the end of a long night, this is the perfect place! I would 100% recommend!!

The accommodation from the outside didn't look too promising, we originally booked as the original accommodation we booked in our package holiday looked like something from a horror story. Sol y vera looked basic on photos but the location was good and was 100% times better than the place we were going to stay. The place looks pretty modern actually. Good: Rooms are modern, grey/white interior, good balcony view, hot water, full equipped for self catering, pool area was ok, room had fans and air con, no deposit needed for safe, no deposit required for the room. Basic but a lot more modern than what we were expecting, not as noisy as you would expect in August and so close to the bars etc. Staff were helpful as one of us got stuck on the balcony (there is a note to say be careful of this as no entry from the outside). The location is minutes away from the beach. Plenty of shops around, places to eat, pub next door (Jokers) was great and the staff were lovely there too. Didn't really use the waiting room but seen a few people hang out there and there was a vending machine too. Pillows were soft, was pleasantly surprised to have a longstanding mirror in the room as you don't usually. Room for improvement: If staff available on reception more often just in case of an emergency. Could of done with a better duvet but you don't really get that on holiday? Just the usual top sheet. Nothing else really, you get what you pay for. Would stay again if coming with friends for a short break away

My sister and I stayed at these apartments for a week ,very clean ,towels changed every two days .we stayed on the fifth floor with a sea view .Its a self catering with a nearby aldi supermarket, prices reasonable. You are very close to beach about a 3 min walk ..The famous maguluf strip is about a 10 min walk. They do not supply a tin opener in regards to kitchen utensils. Lovely pool area .Would definitely stay here again .

Modern room which was a bonus but that didn’t cover up the fact the cleaners didn’t do their jobs right the floor hadn’t been hoovered in weeks poor house keeping and drains where smelly. There was only one member of staff that wasn’t actually rude behind reception the rest had a very rude attitude towards us and others.
