Villa Aladanos and its owner, Katerina, are amazing! Located in the beautiful and quaint village of Macheri, the villa is even better than what the online pictures suggest. Katerina was super helpful and super responsive every bit of the way, providing quick responses and tips all the way from booking the place all the way to the day we left. We highly recommend this fantastic place to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings while being in driving distance from plenty of beaches as well as Chania and Rethymnon (of which we preferred Chania).

We stayed for a week at Villa Aladanos and it was a wonderful experience - Katerina was very helpful both before and during our stay and an embodiment of Cretan hospitality (filoxenia) - the villa is well equipped and the location gives a great experience of village life whilst also being close to the beaches at Kalyves with easy access to Chania and numerous historic sites. It would be easy to not leave the villa at all! The hot tub was an added bonus and the view from the upper terrace is wonderful. A week is not enough time to both relax and explore all that Western Crete has to offer so we will be back!

We've just returned from our holiday at this lovely villa. It's peaceful, relaxing and easy to drive to a variety of beaches nearby. The villa is comfortable, clean, tidy and has everything you need to make for an enjoyable stay. Katerina was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything for our villa holiday to go to plan. Would like to return sometime!

A wonderful Cretan home in a small traditional village. Overall family friendly, with great amenities. Lovely pool and hot tub. Hillside Location was perfect! Nice tavernas and beach nearby. Owner is very responsive and very helpful. We will be back!

We had a great stay in the house. All needed was available and Katerina was very helpfull with all our needs or questions. Private parking next to the house. Supermarket, restaurants and beach within 10 to 15 min drive. Chania the city is a 30min drive. Recommended!

Me and my husband spent a week at Villa Erontas. We loved the Villa, location and the views. The Macheri Village was beautiful, little bit remote, but still near bigger village like Kalyves, so we had all we needed. Property owner Katerina was so lovely person, she helped us many ways and she brought us oranges and home made muffins. We wanted to relax in a peaceful place and that certainly happend. And the jacuzzi was just perfect also. We truely want to go back.

This Villa is a little gem, had everything we needed, the inside and outside are perfect. We enjoyed both the pool and jacuzzi with perfect views. Loved that villa is out the way and quiet however local restaurants and supermarkets a very short drive away and Kalyves beach is perfect for children. Katerina was a wonderful host from the day of booking and through out our stay advised times and days that cleaner and maintenance being done and came to say goodbye on leaving with little gift reminder of Villa absolutely perfect thank you so much Katerina we loved it and when back in the area would 100% stay again ❤️😍

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Olga's property, it was perfect for us . It was spotless and we were greeted by Katrina and a lovely gift basket of fruit, wine and homemade cake was there for us. Definitely need a hire car, as it settled up in the mountains overlooking beautiful landscape and the sea in the distance. It was wonderful in the mornings waking up and going out on to the terrace where there was the hot tub to the sound of Cockerels, the bells of the goats and the sheep in the distance.

We had a wonderful stay here. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere a little off the beaten track but still easily reachable and well located for the main attractions of western Crete. The village is beautiful and has its own taverna - there are many others a short drive away. The host is super welcoming and helpful, the house is clean and well-equipped and the view from the hot tub is stunning! I hope to return.
